Del Boys and Dealers on BBC1 now. Quote "anyone can be a millionaire" , yet he's not. He's just found a 'Rolex' watch and thinks its real :rotfl:

Edit. Just sold for £22 so probably not real

I know one of the people featured she attends some of the same auctions I do, and they are even showing one of the auction houses I occasionally use if I am trawling the cheaper end of the market and have a long day to spare.

I could be wrong, but I think the 'snowballs' might be a bad idea. If I had only amassed a profit of £3000 in 2 years of trading, I would be looking for another career

I'm watching it with a time lapse so am a bit behind..the youngster has just spotted the 'Rolex' watch...I assume the dealers are laughing their socks of at him.

It must be a Rolex as to says so on it but then I really wouldn't know a Rolex if I fell over one in the street.

Oops, sorry. Won't comment about anything else, but this isn't really showing dealers in the best of lights. I would never dream of letting anyone know where I buy and what I pay ;)

There are an awful lot of dealers like that though

I've not seen it yet but no one should be selling a watch with "Rolex" on it if it isn't one.

Commission seemed cheap or did they miss the VAT on top?

They didn't sell it as a Rolex. It was described as "two watches" (it was one of a pair) but matey seemed to think it was genuine as it said the word "Rolex" and got his dad to check it before he took it to a jeweller for verification.

Think he'll not be a millionaire yet.

Won't say too much in case anyone hasn't watched it yet, but out of the 'dealers' shown, only the last one with the furniture seemed to know what he was doing.

It doesn't matter that they didn't advertise it as being a Rolex. If someone sells or attempts to sell an item that is counterfeit and it bears a registered trade mark then they are committing an offence.
