Had the exact same conversation with my friend this evening, we could be showing our children round schools that they have no chance of getting into! Seems a bit cruel.
Daughter has been talking about the results for the last few days, must be because she is back to school in the morning. At the moment she has her hopes pinned on BRA but I'm hoping that she will like some of the secondary schools we are going to see this week and won't be so worried or disappointed if she doesn't get the score she needs.0 -
Happy New Year everyone
Well we're of to Grosvener on Thursday then Methody this Friday.
Starting to feel the nerves kicking in again, I'll b glad when January is over.0 -
Happy new year everyone...heading to 4 grammar schools over the next week, but not sure whether to go to the local secondary or not.
Not being stuck-up,but I would be devastated if my daughter had to end up going there,so at least if it ends up that way,she will be a bit more familiar with it...0 -
Reminder for those that don't already know last years AQE results for each school intake are in today's Belfast Telegraph0
-
Just went out to get the Belfast Telegraph with the scores accepted for grammers September 2014. Our main school at the minute BRA stayed at 99 but Methody dropped to 95, we weren't going to go view it but i think we will now as a back up if score isn't high enough for BRA.
I know that you mean Mr Bun, I went to our local all girls secondry and don't want her to go there.... But we're going to their open night next week just in case.:hello: Animals are my friends...and I don't eat my friends:EasterBun0 -

Husband just came back saying our local shops were all sold out of the telegraph. Would anyone mind letting me know what the following schools accepted:
Belfast High
Carrickfergus Grammar
Ballyclare High
Daughters first choice is BRA but veggie Northern Ireland already answered that one, thanks.
Thanks in advance 😀0 -
Mrs Mum, here are the schools you asked about.
Belfast High - 99
Carrickfergus Grammar - 94
Ballyclare High - 96
I took a photo of all the scores but I couldn't find a way to post a photo on the forum.:hello: Animals are my friends...and I don't eat my friends:EasterBun0 -
Hi everybody - happy new year to you all
I missed the Bel Tel yesterday so I wonder would someone kindly post the lowest score accepted by RBAI (Inst) last year.
Just by the by, I was at Ballyclare High's open night this evening and when I asked the Vice Principal for the lowest score accepted last year (before they went to their final pool of 9 or 10 places for families) she said the lowest score accepted was 94 or 95 last year and the year before.
Yours in confusion ! ! !0 -
Flymetothemoon, Inst lowest score for 2014 was 91.:hello: Animals are my friends...and I don't eat my friends:EasterBun0
