Hi JackieO, I've not been on this thread long and I've read lots of posts offering you support and good thoughts etc although I did not know why until I ready your post above - just wanted to wish you love and luck for the forthcoming weeks, you sound so brave and mentally tough and I just hope you are, rather than trying to be so for everyone around you. I will be thinking of you and look forward to reading your posts hearing how well you are doing.

Hello to everyone else - hope you have had a good day...Me and the three little mutants went on the playgroup summer picnic today which was lovely, we even missed the rain! Having a terrible thunder storm now though.

Have just seen the breadmaker I want is on offer at Argos but I'm still umming and ahhing over whether to spend the money or not.....its £35 but we're having a tight month so not sure what to do!!

Can't wait for Mr Tesco to deliver any time now as have ordered the things to make Twink biscuits as well as some other things I found on here!

    Good evening all
    Hugs to JackieO.

Woo Hoo we had a whole day with no rain! Mind you I started work at 6:30, so it was wasted on me.
I put a load of stuff on Ebay yesterday & some of it has bids on already & other items have watchers, which is often a good sign.
A friend is having a clearout & is bringing me 3 boxes of stuff to put on ebay for her, she's going to pay the fees & then we'll split the profits.
I better go & have a chat with Thumper & Ogden & then do some ironing & then on with the sewing.
Life's just one mad round of excitement here
    Hugs to all
    Hester

You're so sassy for a grandmother, I think you're fab! Here's a little link for you to look at - I arranged for my MIL to go and she had a fab time.

    :)
Edited to add that MIL went after her mastectomy but before chemo and radiotherapy. It was really good because not only did she get to meet others who had been through similar but I think it took some of the worry out of the other treatments. Don't know if it's your scene but hey, the MSE in me says never knock a freebie :D

    Good Evening,
I took a few digital photos of my pinny - attractively arranged to show the floral skirt and pink top,(well, as attractive as a pinny can be) - and carefully downloaded them onto the computer.
I selected the best photo and logged on to MSE, clicked on the 'complicated' posting ... and then skidded to a halt. Just could not work out how to load the pinny picture....
Undetered, I called Number 1 son, the boy who has grown up in the 'on-line' world. He checked the photo, etc etc and then asked:
'which photo host do you use?'
    'which what?'
    Well...
    long story short ...
I've got a pinny, I haven't got a photo host, so OS can't have the photo.
    SORRY!

Edited to say Hi to JackieO!
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.

Hi JackieO - (((hugs))) to you - have been thinking about you a lot today. As has already been said, at least you know now. I think your positive attitude will see you through this - you really inspire us on this thread and you know we're all here for you. One of my closest friends had to have a breast removed about three years ago and she's as lively, bubbly and positive as ever. I wish you all the best of luck and a speedy outcome.

PEN - that was a brilliant outcome, wasn't it? Enjoy the wine!

Haven't had much time on here today but will catch up tomorrow.

    See ya!

Big hug - you will get through this and we are all thinking of you.

    Penny pincher

Well done and glad you sent a nice e mail about the manager.

Got three loads of washing dry and spent ages making "Sunday lunch" for tonight's tea - as DH has specifically suggested it.

He came home early having had fish and chips for lunch with a colleague!!!!

"If I have cooked it specially then you will eat it! - but I'll give you a smaller portion"

He had the grace to look a little shamefaced!

Going to pick up DD from uni tomorrow so we will be a household of six again.
