    Good Morning :hello:

The sun is shining :j just had a look at the 5 day weather forecast on BBC and there are no rain droplets hanging from the clouds so fingers crossed.

(((HUGS))) JackieO - that sent shivers down my spine, hope it comes true
I dont know of a super food Jet77 but Im sure a nice bowl of hm veggie soup would pick her up. You could also try one of those build up milk shake drinks ( complan? )

My head just did not want to wake up this morning - had an early ( 11pm ) night last night too. Got 2 loads of washing from yesterday on the line but put my fluffy dressing gown in the TD as it makes it all nice and cuddly :D
Im meeting a friend for coffee this morning so we will be putting the world to right ( or our worlds anyway )
This afternoon I am going to try to start sorting out a party for my DD. She is going away to Dance & Drama school in September and will be away for her birthday so I have offered to do her a leaving party instead. We are looking at a date in August and so far she thinks there will be over 100 attending
My bikini diet started yesterday and I was really good even though my naughty Nana tried to give me chocolate :o today I am having smoked mackrel and salad for dinner and DD is having pasta & neapolitan sauce.

Right must get myself into the shower - hope everybody has a nice day :hello:

Does anyone know of some sort of super food I can give DD1 and myself (I've got it too) to give us a bit of strength - I haven't got a blender to do smoothies, but was thinking maybe some sort of soup that I could disguise anything she doesn't like in (v. fussy eater).

A good thing to try is Metatone tonic from the chemist - it's really good for building you back up when you've been ill. You can also look for goji berries (from a health food store) which are packed full of vitamin C. And - best of all for comfort food and medicinal effect - is chicken soup; doesn't matter whether it's tinned or homemade, it seems to have a magical soothing, healing effect.

What a lot of dental probs here lately; I do hope everyone in pain gets it sorted out very soon - there's nothing worse, is there? I have an appointment with the hygienist tomorrow morning - what fun, can hardly wait! Don't mind really because it's in the next village and they have three really good charity shops that I only go to when I visit the dentist so I might well find some bargains (once I've paid nearly £40 for the hygienist!)

Well, WM is on, BM is on, Hoover is ready, ironing board is nearly ready but, am I ready? Don't think so! At least I've planned tonight's dinner which will be bubble-and-squeak, pork and apple sausages, onions and beans. Pudding will probably be fresh pineapple because it's easy!

The sun is still shining - sorry, AMIE, it must have been me who nicked it from Bognor! You can have it back later!

DH has found some 'treasure' - he was cleaning his 'new' 4x4 and, behind one of the ashtrays at the back, he found a 1739 medal depicting Admiral Vernon taking the Spanish port of Portobello with 'only six ships'. I've looked on t'net and found lots of info about the battle - quite exciting and he was obviously a real hero of the day. I found lots of other medals showing the same battle but not one that looked like the one DH found. We'll get it appraised in the hope that it's our 'Del-boy-and-Rodney's-pocket-watch' but, knowing our luck, it won't be! It was an odd place to stash it, though; DH said it couldn't have got there accidentally, it must have been put there - probably stolen!

Anyway, must go and hang the washing out then nip up to the PO to post the book I sold on Amazon yesterday. Oh, and by the way, eBay are having a 10p listing day this Thursday for anyone who is planning on listing this week!

    See you all later.

GOOD LUCK JACKIEO - thinking of you today.

Morning all and hugs to those who need them, congrats to weightlosers and eeeeeeeeeeeeew to hedgehog eaters

My exBIL arrived on thurs night and is very evil - forcing me to stay up late chatting and drinking and making me go out to see the sites and have nice meals in fancy restaurants. I think i have had about seven hours sleep since he got here. We have so far been to hampton court, south bank and shopping in kingston and are going to see the sound of music tonight - I'm still working so it's all a bit of a struggle for an old lady of 41! DDs are so excited - youngest was hooked on Maria School and is very pleased that it's connie's night off as she preferred the girl who came second anyway. We are taking a friend of 10yo dd with us so it should be a great night. 10yo dd celebrated by getting exbil to buy her a pair of higher-than-I-would-have-bought heels when I wasn't looking but I'm taking trainers with us for the journey home. Well off to Harrods and Harvey Nicks for the morning

    have a great day

    Morning all

JackieO - Hope all goes well today.

Had a lovely weekend - got loads done, defrosted freezer, lawns cut, cinema trip, lidl freezer stock up and then topped it off with some fruit picking yesterday - cherries and raspberries - both DD's were eating more than they picked - the strawberries (2nd planting) won't be ready until next weekend so we'll pop back.

Went to Mr T's with our list - DH has really got into the swing of this "spending as little as possible" lark - we took £35 cash and no cards - spent £34.66 - granted we didn't buy any meat this week, had 2 chickens that needed using from the freezer - both were roasted yesterday and slotted into this weeks meal plan, the rest will be frozen down for soups.

Going to cut my living room today and give it all a good wash down - it's very dusty for some reason and the windows and floors need a good clean and polish.

Hope you all have a great day.

    Good morning all

Well we took the kids to the Circus yesterday and to be honest I wasn't impressed. Glad we didn't pay for the tickets, otherwise I would have been asking for my money back. I remember the Circus being brill when I went to see it when I was little, but yesterdays performance was mostly padded out by boring dancing, and rubbish jokes. My kids spent the whole time asking "has it finished yet mum, can we go home now"

Today I have a day to myself, well a bit, gotta pick them up from nursery at 2pm, so gives me long enough to get some housework done and pop into town before picking them up.

Tea is Roast chicken, as we didnt get round to having it yesterday after getting back from the Circus. HM strawberry flan for pudding, and might get round to making some flapjacks today too.

Right time for me to be off, bye for now xxxxx

    Morning all

Lovely sushine so far, but the weather forecast is rain by lunchtime.

My Swiss Dark starter is now ready to be used, and I'm going to try making a Swiss Dark Loaf today. The instructions are obviously a translation, and a poor one at that, so I'm not sure what I'll end up with. It's a bi of a faffy process, but it may be worth it.

Will try and get in the garden next John's, I want to dig up momst of a St Johns Wort which has vastly overgrown it's allotted space. It's not just a case of pruning it back, there are lots of rooted bits that need coming out. Also want to replant the Vinca that I rescued from being trampled or concreted over by the Fenceman.

Housework can wait until the weather changes.

Have a good day everyone. Special hugs to <JackieO> Good luck today!

Back again - JackieO good luck for the hospital - thinking of you

Nelski - that sounds perfect - have a great time.

Good news, DS teacher is ok about me not going on school trip although DS is very upset im not going - hopefully he will come round.

Dentist can see me at 3.15 (now getting worried as to what he's going to do to me!)

& PC man is coming tomorrow at 1pm, although internet is now working perfectly.

Also thanks to MSE have now (should have done it ages ago) have set up a spreadsheet with my cc's on and updated it for July and have seen the overall figure go down instead of up - seeing it in black and white is very motivating.

    Hey everyone

Im feeling much better today and actually got up today at a half decent hour.Just now I am going to watch the double bill of "how clean is your house?" theres something about it that gets me motivated lol.
I need to get some mouse poison or something for the garden because we`ve discovered a colony of mice in the garden. Last year about october we had a mouse in the flat but havent had sight nor sound of them since, so i was a bit shocked to see them all running up and down the fence.
    anyhow must get on

hugs to everyone who wants/needs them

    kind regards
