    Afternoon Guys!

Bit if a busy morning here today:rolleyes: ....nurse left at 7am, then showered and changed. Hospital appointment which lasted an hour:eek:    ....grabbed a coffee, then went to Waitrose to sort the joint of beef out. Just got back in. Put the WM, OH is emptying DW as I type and just eaten half a sarnie:D Floors have been swept and toilet scrubbed.

Waitrose were fabulous! Went in with OH and asked to speak with the manager and he arrived within 2 minutes. Gave a brief explanation of situation and handed him my complaint letter which he took time to read. He asked what I thought would be a suitable outcome...I hate it when your put on the spot:o ....so I asked for another piece of meat, a refund and money to cover petrol etc. He said that was fine and to do the bit of shopping I needed to do, grab another joint of meat and as a goodwill gesture...choose a bottle of wine:D OH knew what wine he wanted as theres a particular Rioja he likes but at £12.99 we can hardly afford it. I got the bits I needed which wasnt too much but what we needed for the week. The manager came and found us and escorted us to a checkout. I apologised for how expensive the bottle of wine was and offered to pay towards it which he refused. He said that most go for their super expensive wink at £35 a bottle:eek:    ....anyway...the total came to £58.00 including the wine and the new joint of meat. He then had someone pack the bags and take them to the car and when I went to pay...he said...please take all your shopping as a goodwill gesture...theres no need for you to pay anything-and he apologised again. I am still in shock!!!!

We are off to see our 7yr nephew play the violin later and he has a solo piece:rolleyes: ...told him that if he hits all the right notes...we will buy him a bag of chips after and possibly a sausage:D .....it will be perfect as he loves sausgae and chips:rotfl:

Anyway, I am under strict orders to rest, so I am going to have a cuppa and watch The Commander from last night. OH is gardening...again:rolleyes:

    Hugs to all.

PenPin What a great outcome! Don't forget to email Customer Services to let them know how happy you are with the store manager's handling of the situation.
