  • Very likely you would have to pay full £75 as you will need new sky box.

My understanding is that existing Sky subscribers can get FreeSat for as little as a £20 one-off payment.

Just out of curiosity, why should a "delivery" charge be made for signing up to a Sky TV service?

Isn't this to pay for the delivery of the box & dish to your house?

I'd appreciate a bit of help if anyone knows, please - we used to subscribe to Sky but stopped in 2004/5 when our box gave up the ghost - would we be regarded as new customers now?

    Hi All
I would be interested in this deal IF it aired all the regional BBC and ITV channels. action-smiley-033.gif
I have freesat and I can watch other region's BBC and ITV. When it is set up you will be given a default BBC1, etc, but you can go and find the other channels.

Also worth knowing: Occationally on freesat we are sent a letter by Sky telling us we will be given all the channels free for 1 month. They hope we will get hooked I suppose. All it actually does is convince me I don't have time to make spending £40 on Sky worth it. But it is a nice surprise every so often to have the sport channels for free (and if you turn off the sky box, not leaving it on standby to save electricity/money/planet, we found that the free channels didn't disappear after exactly one month, they lasted an extra couple of weeks :) ).

You get the box sent to your home - the engineer doesn't fetch it.

does anyone think you could get the free broadband and evening and weekend calls with this too?
i just rang sky and they don't seem to know about this offer.
  • WE have switched off all subscriptions to sky and this turns the digibox into a
FREE Freeview with all channels you list and NO £70odd spend so, and sorry if its already mentioned here, I couldn't find it?
Just call SKY and bin subscription (Post 1 year) to get the same benefit. Also on a similar note we also have freeview via a Media Centre and we get more free with it than with Sky i.e. UK Bright Ideas, History, Sky3 to name a few I'm aware of - why is Sky so mean?
