Called insurance to stop the auto renewal. He asked to requote me (pfft why didn't they do this with the renewal ) and I told him I had more cover for £100 less plus cash back. Still, after 15min on the phone he finally realised he couldn't match it ;)

Then I got a call from a recruitment consultant asking for me in my maiden name lol. It would seem they have found a CV from 2005 haha, he said he would ring back in 18mths when DD is in full time school :rotfl: nutter!

So, DD and I now having lunch, and she wants to watch Cinderella after.

I've had to put the heating on - brrr.

This afternoon I'm going to sort the shower drain  not looking forward to that one, nose peg, rubber gloves and bleach is required ;)

Dog walking, hoovering, washing up, 2 washloads (now on airier) all done. Have also sorted my jewellery. I have 33 pairs of earrings, and now 8 grams of old gold to get rid of.

About to have some lunch while reading the paper. I'm not going to weed the garden as it's not that nice out, but will walk the dogs again later. I am procrastinating over the sorting of the understairs cupboards.........

Just been on the sell gold online thingy, apparently I can get about £70 for 8gms, I had no idea. Will shop around first though..

LW - Daisy is gorgeous!! :D Best not let my DD see that picture as she'll want one. Only last night she realised why I said no to having a greyhound when we walked past one and it was as tall as her waist. We just don't have room for a dog that big :rotfl:
How about an Italian Greyhound? They're the same shape as a normal Greyhound, but a lot smaller. *ducks in case nicki throws something*:D

Daisy's actually Japanese, and a funny little lass; the only downside to her is she's a very finicky eater. I'm told that Shiba Inu actually means "small dog" :D

Ted the Border Terrier will be here later on - what a contrast!:D Before he arrives, I shall try and put the Dys0n round again - I did it after Daisy went home, but it could use another pass. Luckily Daisy's one of the few who doesn't leave me a load of nose-art on the patio door.:o

I also need to do my weekly spreadsheet backup (boring but necessary).

Did a WM load of Mr LW's work clothes early this morning (put on the timer) and they're now all dry - thankfully, as it's coming up very dark overhead, going to rain soon, methinks.
ETA I was right - it just started raining.

I have used a matt emulsion by Cr--n called Soft Linen in almost every room, with feature walls in strong colours (antique gold in the LR, roasted pepper in the hall, chocolate in the bedroom....). It goes brilliantly with everything including white gloss and doesn't have the pinkish tinge of magnolia. Enjoy your decorating, nicki!

I had a better night's sleep last night but am still very tired. This morning I have dealt with the charity accounts, prepared for GASDS, and put in a Gift Aid claim. DH has gone out with the U3A Public Transport group to a big garden centre which we actually visited together a week ago. I have stayed at home to await delivery of my new phone.

I was so hungry that I ate my portion of pasta salad at 11.45 and then made a pan full of soup because I was so cold. After 2 big mugs of it I am feeling warm at last. My concentration has gone completely to pot, and I haven't got any urgent flying to do. We're going out this evening, so I think I will collapse onto the sofa for a while now and declutter some zzz. I feel like an old woman today :(

If it's any consolation, ionafan, DD has collapsed on the sofa too ;) so maybe you are reverting to toddler-dom ;)

Snap re the antique gold, except that we haven't restricted it to the LR - we have all over in the dining room as well. Lovely colour.

    Sleep well vibes.

    Is Pixie better today, Pigpen?

I've done the bathroom today, tidied around and collected OH from the station. He's loaded the micronuke into the boot so I can whizz it over to the chalet later, and we're deciding if we're going to eat out tonight or not.
    Better is good enough.

Another day of no flying but lots chatting, I always think I'm antisocial but may have to re-evaluate that. Going to do a HHC now.

I feel like an old woman every flippin' day.:(
Right now I'd like to emulate Bossy's DD but I still have too much to do.

Shutting down the netbook now, and transferring to the pc as I just realised I have to do the major monthly backup this weekend, not just the weekly stuff, so I'll (probably) be back on MSE tomorrow.

I have walked the dogs again and spend HH stint sorting understairs cupboard.

Stuff put on freecycle, charity bag started and a little tidier. But its such a boring job, so I'm going to wipe window ledges next!
