    Hello!

Grotty weather here today, first day of real rain and its DS first school trip. To a farm. Bless him. Still, he has wellies and an anorak, and it didn't dampen his excitement :D

We did DD homework, she had to do a timeline showing her growth, so we made a sort of snakes and ladders board with squares, one for each month, and stuck a few photos in, for each birthday and a couple of other bits. We then cut out some pretty paper into snake and ladder shapes and stuck those on too, looks really pretty. Might take a pic of it before we take it in actually ;)

After lunch we went to Mr S for some groceries, polling station on way home (I'm sure I was to vote 3 times but they only gave me two papers). Put shopping away and hung washing on airers - also have some whites soaking in whitener, grubby collars etc.

Need to go collect DS. We went past school at 1 and there was a coach outside. Think they came home early from the farm :( oh well, he will have enjoyed it.

    X

Homework: :D I've whited out where her name is at the bottom

Love DD's Timeline Bossy, and the pencil case 'find' from last night.

In my HHC I sorted two handbags out, sorted and dusted my desk and the windowsill behind it (not a small, easy or quick task), and spent a lot of time putting things away. Now that I'm getting on with it I'm going to carry on. Thanks for that Dusty. How did yours go?

Bossy that's lovely; well done to you and DD.

I have just scrubbed the rack and tray out of the micro/combi to within an inch of their lives. I think I've scrubbed away a good part of my hands also!:D

    My list is not looking too bad, because I was out yesterday and then it rained today, I've had to put a hold on anything involving washing;
[STRIKE]Monday - Living room and downstairs Loo
    Tuesday - kitchen[/STRIKE]
    Wednesday - Master Bedroom
    Change the bed
    Dust dressing table/bedside cabinets
    Polish mirrors

    Thursday - Bathroom
    Replace towels with fresh ones

A year 5 boy got knocked down on the crossing outside school this afternoon. He was conscious and talking when the paramedics arrived but I left after we got the traffic moving so the police could get through.

The parking/traffic situation outside of school worries me, I regularly record details of cars parked or behaving dangerously but school, the council and traffic wardens seem to be able to do little to help. Any ideas?

I rang my friend, who was the lollipop lady until she resigned whilst waiting for her knee replacements (she isn't old, she needed the op because she has been knocked over on the crossing twice herself!). She had them done last September and re-applied for her job after recovery because no one else would do it. She was interviewed on 22 April and was told she could start as soon as they did the paperwork. She is hoping that she can make them move faster now but is upset that she wasn't there today. :(

lemanie - you could contact local press and the police, though, IMO, the head should be doing more (like contacting Police himself)

Also google Road Safety Partnership for your area.
