Posivibes for Charlieyates - hope the self-employed thing isn't as stressful as you fear - and Valli - just tell 'em "I couldn't possibly comment".

Both microwaves, kettle, toaster, kitchen floor, cupboard/fridge/oven fronts, all sparkly. Printer unjammed (note to self - 2 x 40 pages is too much in one hit) and Ebay password changed as per today's news.

Sewing machine repair man chased and caught, so I'll go and collect it later - at last.
    Better is good enough.

You lot are keeping me sane and reminding me that the world is NOT full of devious self-promoting; self-centred; conniving, lying gits.

Thank you all so much and a special *mwah* for Honey Bear and Dusty.

honey bear I'm sorry the source of your entertainment has gone ;) but it was a source of stress for me - I hate people coming to the house when I'm alone :( but I did have a quiet word with OH reminding him he promised to look after me and if he could see it ran smoothly for me (sorry if that's a bit spooksome) so it's rather nice that it did.

LW I'd like to think (see the above) it wasn't a deity as such just my own personal guardian angel :A

So I now have a desk, much more comfortable than the dining table (the right height for a start!). And there is room for me to work, and for homework to be done too :D although it does mean I'm less likely to clear things away as we won't want to eat dinner there :p

It's a lovely little work corner. But the rest of the garage is trashed :rotfl:

Took DS to his school disco - was hilarious, he just bounced for 45 mins - you see! Who needs trampolines? He is hot and sweaty and happy. And now in the bath. DD is shattered - we need some groceries tomorrow but other than that we are due a quiet day at home. We will do her homework and some craft stuff at our new desk :T

I'm not entirely finished paid stuff either. Although I did get the code part working and that's the most time consuming - I hate fixing other peoples code, it's much easier when you've built something yourself. I never know what i can or can't delete. Ah well needs must, and it's all brownie points for me...

Right I'll go do hair washing then get the small people dried and off to bed!

ETA if anyone else is interested in spooky things, just to confirm my suspicions, I emptied my pencil case into me new desk organiser tonight and found a bit of paper in, DH had written his name and put a x underneath like he was signing off a note to me <3

Seriously, Bossy, I'm glad it's gone and OH's warmth and love made it okay.

I've traipsed across Plymouth and got my lovely 40 year old sewing machine back. The engineer has a lot of health problems and it's a devil to pin him down but once he gets cracking on the work he's a genius and utterly trustworthy. Lovely doing business with someone like that.

Well the second duvet went to the laundrette (finally - I've been meaning to take it for months), the washing is on - I'm trying to do a load at a time (nearly every day) so that we don't have 6 loads to do at the weekend!! Everything is tidied up from dinner and I've cleaned out my car in preparation for taking it for it's MOT tomorrow (trying to convince the garage I take care of it and don't leave it filled with crumbs and rubbish....) My OH is doing the ironing whilst I try and find a hotel near Melbourne for January. I'm pretty sure I got the best deal here!

Evening all. I'm off work for a week, yay!!!! So probably won't be doing that much flying. Washing and ironing are up to date, all rooms in house have had some attention this week so I'm very happy with that

I get to see DS tomorrow in York, excited about that, and I may do some weeding when I get back.

Just noticed that tomorrows list is the bathroom and I did that today. Feel better now....
