I'm so lazy.. Pixie is outside on a blanket, OH is outside mincing the hedge with Squeak supervising and Dot to terrorising the world.. I'm making a cuppa and taking it outside while I sit in the shade with my cardy on with my knitting. I am heading to pick the girls up shortly and need to pop to shop for bananas and to make a hair appointment for several people. I want to get some blue wool to get cracking on the blanket for Moomins teacher too.

The girls are tidying the front room tonight when they get home, they made the mess they can get it tidied!!

    Hi all

Glad the trampoline saga is resolved. That did make me smile.

Charliey - my hubby went self employed about 6 years ago. By his own admission he is not always brilliant at managing his time and I dont think he always sees the relationship between the hours he does and the money thats in the bank. You have got to be really motivated and determined and he does need a bit of gentle encouragement at times. That said he has built up a good regular client base and his job is probably more secure than if he was employed by someone else.

As for you going back to work, you may find you really enjoy it. I took a few years out to be a full time carer and while its damned hard running a household and working it does give me a sense of satisfaction.

Hugs Wendy, and well done for getting stuff done even when you probably just feel like curling up and pulling the duvet over your head!

So I have done the first lot of paid stuff, about to start the second lot now. Will squeeze in a clean of our bedroom somewhere later.

    Hola Flyladies

I've just checked my inbox and found an email from DS2's school, reminding us that they're closed tomorrow for the local elections -- I didn't know! Cue much panic rearranging the customers I had booked in for the day. I won't get a long lie as I'll still need I be up with DS1 but at least I can slob in my jypamas for a while :)

Work decluttered for the day, it was baking in the giant conservatory again :( I have an hour before DS1 gets back so let's see what can be done here in that time…

Congrats, Bossy, but I have to say I was looking forward to the saga of the trampoline, so I'm probably not the only one who's a bit disappointed it went this morning!

Went over to the chalet to turn on the water and fridge for the let at the end of this week only to remember when I tried to put the chopping boards away that there is no microwave. Oh whoops. Quick trip down to the British Heart Foundation and a bit of cleaning, scubbing and searching for instructions on line (found and printed), and I have a sparkly new-to-me machine. And it's a trusty Pana$onic. Yay! I'd far rather a secondhand trustworthy brand than a brand new heap of junk that stops working after a few months.
    Better is good enough.

    Tied around
DW put onand emptied, seal cleaned and now on a clean cycle
    Washed up
Washed the sauce stains out of DS3's cricket top.

Evil cat scratched my face when I tried to move him away from the garden (he was distressing a male blackbird), it is really sore.

Going to hoover next. DS2's exam should just be finishing.

Charlie my hubbie was self emplyed for a while, I found it stressful, he enjoyed it but is happy now to be an employee again. Good luck.

  • Oh dear - the best laid plans etc etc!!! Spent all morning perusing Mn S website for holiday clothes - usually buy cheaply at an outlet but nothing I like locally.
Then had an important but rather disquieting phone call followed by trying to phone someone and a long email!! Luckily had a reply before I had to leave for this aftenoon's job so felt marginally better - but had no lunch!

So glad the trampoline has now gone - I chuckled at the Chuckle Bros - "to me to you"!!!

Hopefully you have had a better day than I have everyone - I can only look forward to a more productive day tomorrow.

    Have a lovely evening x
