Just popping in quickly, I really should be in the shower now. So so tired this morning, hoping I am not coming down with the bug DS2 has had. Need to drag myself off to work, busy day. Will report in later!

    Morning all

Stayed up far too late watching the election so will be flagging later. DS2's last day at school so I have his leaving ceremony to attend.

Will fly before I go and do my food shop on the way home.

Morning all. Had a busy day out yesterday with DH and DS so no flying as forecast here.

Today is my own, so having already done a meal plan for next week, I'm going to walk the dogs, have a quick hoover through the house and do a sort out of my jewellery as I treated myself yesterday to a new earring holder.

I may do some weeding today if the weather stays dry. If not, then I will tackle the two understairs cupboards which are huge frogs at the moment.

For all those going through a tough time, I find it helps to think about what you would like the outcome to be, and try to focus on achieving that. Not easy I know, but it kind of helps me.

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.

    Morning all :D

Bossy - love the timeline & your pencil case find :D

LW - Daisy is gorgeous!! :D Best not let my DD see that picture as she'll want one. Only last night she realised why I said no to having a greyhound when we walked past one and it was as tall as her waist. We just don't have room for a dog that big :rotfl:

Today I've woken up in a "get it done" mood. So I have already put laundry away, made the beds, put the almost dry washing that was on the maiden in the TD, sorted that into appropriate baskets, a light wash has just finished and will be going in the TD in a min, reset my alarm to 8am for the next week, S&S the bathroom, tided lots of hot spots away through out the house, and after swapping the washing over I'll get on with the dishes :D I don't know whether its the 3 cups of coffee since 8.15 or what but I'm itching to get on with things today :rotfl::rotfl:

lemanie - you could contact local press and the police, though, IMO, the head should be doing more (like contacting Police himself)
Also google Road Safety Partnership for your area.
Thanks for that Valli, to be fair, the head does sometimes stand outside at the beginning and end of school himself as a deterrent and we have PCSOs, police officers and traffic wardens who also attempt to educate and deter but this only works whilst they are actually stood there :( The repeat offenders obviously never read the frequent reminders in the school newsletter and the rules to keep everyone safe do not apply to them. I'm going to give it some serious thought and speak to a few people.

The boy was air-ambulanced to a bigger hospital with a fractured skull but is doing alright.

    Morning!

Just sitting down with a cuppa! Went to local town planning meeting this morning to get some answers around the proposed developments nearby. We were in there for 90min, and DD was an absolute angel. She did her colouring and sticking, and nibbled on an apple, and generally sat nicely and didn't make any noise, other than whispering the odd thing to me. Everyone commented on how they wouldn't have known she was there.

Took her to the newsagents after she is now the proud owner of a princess magazine which came with a wand, bracelet and lipstick ;)

Not sure what to do with myself now. Will go check my list, I think...

I'm still not 100% but I'm itching to get on with the decorating so I want to get the cleaning done today so I can use Dads taxi service on Monday to get home from the DIY shop with supplies ;):rotfl: My mum volunteered his services so DD is glad we don't have to carry the paint home now :rotfl::rotfl:

Well the HHC in the kitchen turned into a "deep clean the filters on the TD and then HH on the phone to my mum :D:rotfl: Just sorting the dry washing out, the heavier items are now in the drier (trying to avoid over drying the school shirts ;) ) and another load in the WM.

Just looked at my paint stash under the stairs & I have 2 full tins of kitchen/bathroom paint (I may get a different colour for the bathroom though. What colour goes with Avocado green tiles & suite in a tiny bathroom?!?!), about 2litres of the du1ux pink to white (necessary for painting all the ceilings & hallway which are already white! May buy another 5litre of that), and 3 litres of crown solo for the gloss work! I also know I have 3x 10 litre tubs with something in them but they're not full, lurking in the back of the cupboard. This discovery means I can really cut back on what I have to buy! Maybe £100 might just be enough now to cover the lining paper needed for both bedrooms, some primer & the feature wall paint. Might even stretch to putting lining paper up in the hallway instead of the horrible embossed stuff which keeps flaking off every time something brushes against it! I just need to dig all the boxes out to see what actual supplies I have. You know how typically a dad has his shed full of "things that'll come in useful", well my understairs cupboard is mine :o:rotfl:

Think I'll set DD on her model painting next week so I can clear some of the clutter from under the stairs. If I use up all the paint (very easy thing to do since I plan on decorating the whole house this summer), get DD to finish the models she brought home at the end of year 4 (she's now in year 8!) and fit the fire surround which is also lurking under there (and has been since 2011 :o Frog anyone? :o) my understairs cupboard will actually be virtually empty!! Right, thats a target set - all cleared out & sorted by the end of the summer holidays. That gives me 13 weeks  Then I'll start thinking of the C word ;):rotfl:

Off to wash dishes this time. Honest :D
