Spent £6.67 today - bread, tomatoes, potatoes and apples.
Made roasted red pepper & tomato soup and cooked a ham hock while the oven was on.
We had ham, chips & mushrooms for tea and tomorrow are having the soup with some of the left over ham and I hope to make some cheese scones as well. Made plenty of scones in the past but never cheese ones.

Another £6.37 spent at Lidl on Saturday. Cheddar, which I shouldn't need to buy again this month now, eggs, creme fraiche, houmous, lettuce, cabbage...and something else? Not sure. No chocolate or ice-cream because I made flapjacks before I went out so I wouldn't be tempted.

Also another visit to the Turkish supermarket where I bought potatoes, onions, tomatoes, parsley and some store cupboard stuff that I shouldn't need again this year. Can't remember how much it was though, so I'll have to wait until it shows up on my statement before I add it on.

And I got loads and loads of blackberries for free from the park :) I've got a sneaking suspicion that apples will be on my shopping list soon.

Very well stocked fridge, freezer and cupboard now. Shouldn't need more than a couple of bits to last me through to the end of the month.

    £40.90/£90

Ooh, just remembered: new Sainsbury's opened today. Just going to nip over before they close and see if they've misjudged stock levels, being new and all, and have some good yellow sticker deals.
    Saving for deposit: Finished! :j
    House buying: Finished!
Next task: Lots and lots of DIY
