  • Hubby has finally left work and we are now down to one salary so I think the budgets are going to have to be tightened. As he does most of the cooking Im hoping that as he will have more time things will get cheaper. Can you put me down for £350 this month.
    Thanks

I haven't been keeping proper track of my spends this week but I know there have been almost daily visits to the supermarket with some spends being over £10. I had a home delivery shop today and food shops for bits and pieces yesterday mean its been another expensive weekend foodwise. A lot of my shop today was household stuff (washing powder, toiletries etc) but it all adds up and there were a few unnecessary spends that I could have avoided and meant I saved some pennies. Freezers and cupboards remain full. No meal plan prepared/being followed and the credit card bill creeping up (i pay on this to get the points). Will be interesting/scary to see the total. Must try harder!

£0.08 spent today. F & V spend in Morrisons came to £5.08 and have last of three vouchers to spend tomorrow. Freezer chocka and fridge brimming with f&v. Will have to do a lot of chopping and reorganising of freezer come Monday ...... at work tomorrow, so no time.

Children have lost my last voucher, as they were going to meet me from work last night but they can't remember where they have put it. So NSD today, as off back to work now;so all the shops have closed anyway.

We had a £4.10 spend at Morrison's and had to go to two stores to use two vouchers as the first store had been ram sacked, and it was hard enough to find a fiver's worth of things we needed! Another £2.89 on top of that for a loaf and sandwich bits for Hubbs, then £12.80 at the farmers' market for things he wanted. Could be doing better really!

Hiya everyone and welcome to all those returners :hello:

Had a bit of a race around the shops today and really did not feel like shopping one iota but had to be done :(

    So - Home Bargains = £1.38. Morrys = £16.79. Al*i = £12.93. F. Foods = £14.99 (including 18 toilet rolls, 8 tins of tuna and 6 bags of sugar) and Mr T = £4.63.
So grand total today of £50.72 So I bought quite a bit of store cupboard stuff and hopeful that only need milk rest of week fingers xd ;)

The good news for us this week is that
DH is to start a new FT job tomorrow on contract :j
and so things should become a bit easier once we start getting regular monthly money (first wage will be end September) though will have to be a bit careful until then. At least the holiday in September is already paid for :T

Hope you all have a magical Monday

Went to butchers over the weekend as DD wanted some of their burgers and sausages because she can't get anything comparable anywhere near her so decided to stock up myself as well! So another £32.74 of which £20 was given back to me by DD (I also had some spices I'd bought for her a while ago!) so £16.37 for me plus I needed some more mushrooms and the local farm shop didn't have any small ones which I wanted so I could leave them whole in the dish I was cooking so another 65p in Morries.

Signature updated so now at £118.21/£250.

Okay, so a quick inventory revealed I needed more than yoghurt... I had no sandwich stuff for this week, or cat food. So a trip to Asda was in order...

I managed to drop my yoghurt when I got home and split the pot. Great, I'll have to use it all this week, and it won't last to be starter for my homemade batch after the weekend.

Planning some savoury muffins to take away with me when I go away this week... :)
