Another NSD and I've found the motherload seam of massive blackberries just 5 minutes walk from my house.....and a crab apple tree. I thought it was a bit early for blackberries but these are ripe and juicy. I'll definitely be foraging this week and fill the freezer, if there's room.

    Hi everyone,

I'm reporting in with a final total of £190.08 for July so £9.92 under budget.

I've had to raid the money from July and my other 'unofficial' grocery challenges that I started from January for a new TV as the old one went kaput suddenly :( I was saving it as a rainy day fund and it has practically paid for a new one but starting from scratch again sucks and I really resent spending saved money!

Onwards to August to try to build my GC savings stash back up!

Last weekly shop done for July - so calling it at £187.25/£200 - but that's my receipts. OH hasn't been good at taking lunches and also buying other bits here and there - so probably over somewhat but I don't have the energy to go there this month.

Off over to August thread - see you there ....

Hope everyone is feeling good! I'm looking forward to catching up on the thread (Commonwealth Games-watching most of the night and sleeping during the day curtailed my internet time.)

My final total is NZ$75.38 and I went over for both food ($43.88, $9.58 over budget) and non-food ($31.50, $1.20 over budget) shopping.

Most of the extra spending was because this month cabbages finally hit their low price for the year (which was later, I think because it's been a warm winter) and I bought four and made a crock of sauerkraut. Since I was in a fermenting mood, I also lacto-fermented a couple of jars of carrot sticks with dill, which is a first for me so I'll get to see if I like them.

Since the over-spending went to stored food, I'm okay with it. I think I'll set the same limits for next month as well.

Well really done well today and only spent £13.44 in A1di and the newsagents this morning. We have been using food up out of the freezers and cupboards. :j
So in total have spent just £186.63 out of a budget of £250 saving me £63.37 :j :A Very happy with this.
Got my 8 copies of the sun newspaper for the vouchers and so far today have spent 4 of them in 2 different stores. For £20.80 I have brought-
    Rump steak x 2
    1 Pork ribs
1 pack chicken drumsticks & thighs
    8 x Lamb chops
    3 x Whole chickens
    1 Pack 4 pork chops
    20 Sausages
the ££ for these purchases are coming from my second purse money and I will pay myself back when and as I use them. :money:

Probably not. I'm often awake at stupid o'clock ... either due to one of the cats or some other reason.
