Did my last shop of the month. Didn't really need anything, as managed to get a super cheap hol for us for mon to thurs, so no gc money needed. Still, bought some things I'd run out of, or was running low on, such as squash, frozen peas and cheese. Spent around £8, but will check receipt tom at declare for July then. Will just come under my target, so vv pleased!

    Night all,

I bought two papers yesterday for the lidl vouchers and went to lidl today. Bought a running top for my eldest and £15 worth of oven trays but was in shock when the total came to £82. However the girl on the checkouts let me use both vouchers. So not all bad and did get a lot of meat and fish.

I am declaring at £274.96 I did go over on my cleaning/toiletries budget thou - due to buying a years supply of washing powder!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I am really pleased with this as it was only my second month. :T

I am slightly worried I will over shoot August's budget as; it's summer hols, Bf has started a health kick and some of the foods are quite expensive (hopefully he will give me some money towards it. . . please?) and my freezer has maybe 3 meals worth in it, as i'm getting ready to move soon, fingers crossed! Also I am trying to whittle down my pantry/cupboard items too!!!
I think very careful menu planning and even more careful shopping is needed!

See you over in August. ;)

Bought picnic supplies of £14.09 on Friday and had a delicious lunch in the park with friends and their kids yesterday.

Tallying up today and I have £33.33/£200 remaining and one weekly shop to go. May be do-able - will have to see how well stocked we are when I compile my list.

Off out to lunch today, OH's birthday (that doesn't come out of GC budget).
We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.

Bmma - well done a good under spend.

Am like one or two on here and trying to decide what to get if I manage to pick up some of the vouchers for meat next week - am thinking rump steak, lamb chops and then maybe pork loin or similar.
Think it will be a case of going there first instead of last when we go shopping.

Spent just £4.41 today as didn’t need potatoes in the end.
Brought some spinach the other day and cooked with it today (if you can call wilting spinach cooking it)

I did spinach, tomatoes on the vine, mushrooms and poached egg on toast with chives scattered over the top. It was delicious and will be having it again.

Well, I haven't written for a bit as I was busy and tired. The weather in the Czech Republic was lovely, hot but still great. Finally it rained today, so the ground cooled down.

However I was unable to stick to the budget, since my cycling trainings were exhausting. So I had to get more food (with greater variety than only pasta XD).

So total will be about CZK1400 of planned CZK1000 for July, but I'm still happy that I've still managed to save about CZK1200.
