Hiya one and all and a warm welcome to all the new peoples and returners :hello:

There are several reasons I manage to keep under £1pppd:
Hope that helps anyone, and answers any questions!
    PG x
Thanks for the extensive list PG. A lot of it sounds somewhat similar to our household except -

    • We include all household stuff
    • DH insists on a 'proper' meal everyday and wouldn't do just soup (unless it's like a one dish stew) or something on toast (unless it's mince and beans) :rotfl:
    • I'm a fruit-a-holic
    • We have fresh fish at least once a week (expensive I know  )
    • There are 2 of us every day - all day - out of the budget

Fire roaring in the lounge and outside is thick fog, promises to be one of the coldest days of winter today with an expected top temp of 9 oC. I think I will recover the hot water bottle from the van, its just that sort of day.
It seems strange when everyone here (except me) are moaning and groaning about the heat !!

First egg this morning from my ex battery hens

Love what you do for those poor chickens :j

Just received £10 Sainsbug's gift card from Valued Opinions :)
Hey - just got one of those as well this week plus £15 Mr S vouchers offer from Nect*r so will get some stuff that can't get at Al*i next week such as ground-nut oil (great for chips and wok as goes to high temps and Mr S cheapest here) :money:

Had some spends at weekend mainly free range eggs ( £1.98 a dozen at Home Bags), F&V at Al*i and £8.37 for 3 jars of Nescoffee at Semi-chem totalling £26.40 for all shops. Have updated siggie.

I also spent £32.80 from my bulk buy fund at the butchers to make a load of chilli/bolognaise and Beef Bourg for freezer and liver and bacon for tea - yum yum.

Had another NSD today and still hoping to come under this month. Am away for weekend - different budget - so fingers xd :D

Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday

Hi everyone, after the quandry at the weekend over where to shop I just went for the online @sda shop :rotfl: however that does mean I have managed to clock up 2 more NSD's :T I could have had another yesterday but after I had to wait 2.5 hours for the farrier to come and put a shoe on a horse at 9pm last night the local kebab house was calling  so £15.90 spent there and a £76.64 online means I'm off to add £92.54 to my siggy :o

Have just realised that my new month starts tomorrow so I have officially finished the July challenge - and under budget at £241.86/£250. So I'm really pleased as that is 2nd in a row:T.

    Have updated my signature.

I've had quite a few spends today between L*dl and M*rrisons, but will have to update tomorrow; though it's circa about £18.

Bought lighter spreadable butter in first shop to find loads reduced in Morris*ns; so now have four in the fridge. Also, had to buy a ready to ice Madeira cake; as two failed attempts at making my own have left me a bit jaded, as its the first year they haven't gone as i'd hoped.
