£13.91 spent at Mr T and a further £1.70 treating my 3yo son to a drink and biscuit at C*sta...its his monthly treat. I love having a budget...I've found its really reining in the old purse strings!SPC7 ~ Member#390 ~ £432.45 declared :j

Decided I'm going to take the money for the newspapers I'm buying this week (total of £1.60) from my grocery budget, as I'm only buying them in order to collect vouchers for free groceries.
So I've added on 40p from Monday, 40p from yesterday, and £2.30 from today (paper plus 8 pints of milk for DS1)
36.7% of the way through the month, and 53.78% of the way through my budget. Still confident I can make it though, as I have all the protein sources (apart from meat for sandwiches) for the rest of the month, and the veg for Fri, Sat & Sun will arrive in a grocery hamper (already paid for) on Friday. So I really only need fresh veg and bread for 2 weeks (and I have ingredients to make bread, just need to get my backside in gear to do it), and milk for DS1 which may be the stumbling block (but if he keeps drinking it at the rate he has for the last couple of weeks my budget - and his contribution to it - will be going up).Cheryl0 -
£18.04 spent in Morry's - got chicken, onions, cucumber, juice, bread, peaches, strawberries, cabbage, milk and a few other things.
We already had a healthy diet but due to a recent illness we are trying to eat even better. We stupidly brought a Chinese take away the other day and it made us ill, we were up all night with terrible stomach aches, indigestion and generally felt bleurrghh for just over 24 hours. The sugar and preservatives they add were just awful. Still in a way it has done us good and its not a mistake I plan to make again anytime soon.
Will get back to posting pictures soon but at the moment our portions are really small (although improving slowly)and can imagine some of the comments ref. size. I am just happy to be eating something at the moment.
Tonight we are having a small piece of cod in a mushroom sauce and may do 1-2 new potatoes with it but may not!!!!MARCH £62.38/2500 -
Evening all
Hope you all had a good day.
Have now worked out a menu (roughly) for the rest of the month until we go away. It will use up a lot of what I have in the freezer. So only need Veg, Fruit milk and bread.
Like you CW18 I have the ingredients to make the bread, its the motivation at the moment thats missing from me.
Have decided to do my shopping list before we go away and arrqange for delivery from Mr Sains when we get back as have a £15 money of voucher. Thought it was for the delivery charge but its for the food so will use it, be wrong not to, I will reach the lower limit on it no problems.
Hope you all have a good evening14 in 2014 in memory of Soulie. 5/14 completed:o

I'm still poorly so 2 spends of £17 and £5 to report, both done by my mum with a list which means no added extras sneaking in the trolley. This, along with me hardly eating, means we will definitely be under budget this month:)0

Spend of £11.17 added to sig. Stocked up with Branston Baked Beans from B&N. Also got whoops extra large free range eggs at Mr A - reduced from £1.80 to 54p.
For dinner we had roast potatoes/parsnip + bean/cheese pasty + roasted veggies - courgettes/tomatoes/garlic/onion.
Sorry about photo - didn't check setting.

But this time it's for freebies from Icel@nd, so I'm leaning towards costing them to my grocery budget (need 4 papers at a total cost of £1.60 - should be 5, but got given one by OH's sister on Saturday - which gets me £9.50 worth of groceries)[/QUOTE]
I got a paper Sunday from iceland and I said you have not charged me She said it was free. So I am four down one to go too I also went and looked at the placement of them and that they were all marked with the 9.50 footie shelf wobler.knowing me I would pick up the wrong things.Gc 2013 +26 -5. -4 -7 -14 -15 -10.-8.20 +15p+30+5.80 Dec +9 GROCERY challenge 2014 Jan -2Feb -3 March -1.50 April +5.40 May +4.90 June -3.July 16.50/85

Hey everyone, was at £139.25/£180 as of Sunday. Have since been shopping:
Savers mayo 40p
Cola cans 4pk x2 £2
Savers individual orange juice cartons 3pk 45p
YS haddock £2
YS sliced rolls 6pk 35p

Finding it a bit tight doing a big stock up at the start of the month but it is an easier way to do it... will need to have a think about what to do next month.Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

Had my shopping delivered on Sunday for this week, it came to £49.48 not too bad, but I did buy a YS chicken and some YS cherries in te*o on sat, so I need to add £4.50 on to that.
I really need to refocus and plan my shopping/meals a bit better to get back on track. Especially as I've had a week off sick, with no pay for the first 3 days
I will need to buy one or two peppers and possibly spread before my next shop... :mad:0
