I just popped into the shops on the way home to get some kitkats and bananas for coffee breaks at work:
Bananas 68p
Kitkats multipack 8 x 2 £2
= £13.24/£40
On a side note, I'm annoyed with myself. I melted my lidded microwaveable pan last night by accident so I've had to buy a new one which isn't nearly as big or as good as my last one because I can't find the same one. I tried 3 shops and they used to be everywhere in £1 shops but the only one I could find was half the size and you had to buy the lid separately!“I want to be a glow worm, A glow worm's never glum'Coz how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?" ~ Dr A. Late updating from shopping at the weekend. Only got a small budget for groceries for the next couple of weeks (to take me up to payday) and this week, I've managed well within it. Hope I can carry this through next week too, then I should be on my way to actually coming under my monthly target.SPC # 348 2014-£169.07/2015 - £156.89

Spent £12 odd in the shops today to use up some vouchers (got about £4 in points back and it was all food we will eat) and then OH decided he wanted a take-away for dinner which was £8 odd doh!
Tomorrow will HAVE to be another NSD to keep the costs down as I really am determined for us to stay on budget this month.0 -
Thanks for the suggestions ladies but have honestly tried all these things before to no avail, have meal planned with her, got her to help make the food and non of it works. So occasionally she will eat something we are all having or elements of it, but often she doesn't like the whole meal we are eating. None of the meals she likes can be batch cooked, as most are already from the freezer orbisn't freezable ... i.e. Tuna, mayo and pasta. I have gone off eating batch cooked myself and would rather have a repeat from the fridge now, as it doesn't seem to taste the same anymore.
I had a spend at Mr T today. It was £48.18. Hopefully alls i'll just need sparkling water. Wasn't available today for some reason. Hi All,
It's been a while! I had spends of £21.64 on stuff from the international supermarket thingy (beans, pasta, fruit, veg and a huge jar of honey) on Saturday; and £41.08 on some food staple bits, loo roll, cleaning supplies, laundry liquid, cat food, etc.
Yesterday and today were NSDs taking me to 4 for the month but I think I will need a few more to come anywhere near budget!
Total as it stands is £223.72 / £300 leaving me £76.28 for the next 2 weeks. I have the meals in, I just need fruit, milk, eggs, cereal and lunches so fingers crossed!
This challenge really makes you think thriftier, doesn't it? :money:

Not many NSDs possible this month as 2 teenagers have a birthday coming up so even if I'm now going out I'm buying small things on-line every now and then. Nearly done , though....First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, and then you win - Gandhi0

Really tried to rein in this week's grocery shop, as budget is going down the pan. So £24.53 spent which I'm hoping will last a week (with just a milk top up). Not a bad spend considering it includes some beer/crisps for the England game on Saturday night.
Still looking dicey to come in on budget as its taken the total spend to £142.52/£200 and only a third of the way through the month. We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0
