Hi,
Just a quick question if anyone can help pls - I opened this account probably getting on for a month ago and switched another account which did have genuine DDs and SOs on it. I now would prefer to switch the DDs to Santander so that I can earn cashback.
I haven't received the M&S voucher yet - would I be safe to move the DDs now or should I wait for the voucher first?
I had a look at the Ts & Cs for the voucher and they seem to suggest that to qualify for the free £100 you only had to switch an account and there was no mention of having to switch (or maintain for any length of time) DDs. Am I correct about this?
Many thx in advance.0 -

You're fine to move the DDs - there was never any need for them in to be in place (or switched).
Just keep the M&S open until you receive the voucher - which will probably arrive a month from the day from the switch date.0 -
Anyone applied for the account and been asked to call and speak to them? I've just had an email asking me to call them to discuss my application??0

Two conversations (the first to apply was long the second to confirm switch after paperwork being received shorter).
Without revisiting the full thread I thought that was the norm on this application for other applicants on this thread?0 -

I think snowbrow is referring to something different?
After applying online, I got an email about 2 days later confirming my application was successful. A day later I got paper correspondence through to confirm my account had been opened. A few days later I got my debit card and it was at this point I phoned them to switch current accounts.
Correct me if I'm wrong...it sounds as though snowbrow has got a problem with their application; hence, an email advising them to ring M&S bank.:grouphug:Official MSE canny forumite and HUKD VIP badge member

Well I ended up getting declined. They posted the reason - I have good enough credit rating, but their other information does not make me a valuable enough customer - or a customer they want.
Basically I applied for the premier account, as a student (although I do have a job as well) and they figured I was doing it for the £150.
Oh well0 -

Should have gone for the regular account like me and you would had more chance of being accepted.0 -
