Done up to level 3. And wiped outside of kettle, toaster etc. (and moved them and did underneath!) Not much left in my fridge (shopping coming tomorrow) but I sorted the freezer out ready. Did one shelf in the larder, took stuff out and wiped the shelf.

I know the rest of you have finished your tasks already but ihave fianlly finsihed scrubbing my kitchen /hall floor . I hadn't done it for months(its slate and doesn't show the dirt) and the grouting on the slate floor was getting very grubby. I did 75% last week and have just finished the last section.Off to wipe dpown the surface to finish level one and then do some necessay paperwork and emailing.

    • Wipe the outside of all your small appliances (kettle, toaster etc)
    • Clean out your vacuum cleaner, get rid of the hair from the brushes, clean the filters is they are washable and clean anything else you can like the ‘muck bucket’ etc, make sure you leav it to dry thoroughly before putting it back together.
    • Clean out the freezer, I find the vacuum cleaner is good for getting up any crumbs in the bottom or stray peas etc. Defrost it if it needs it.

    Hi everyone

I have just started to tackle Iron mountain, reckon I am at base camp now! So having a breather and doing pigsback clicks. I haven't done these for a few weeks so must have missed out on loads of points :(

Wonder if it's worth tacking them onto one of the daily lists each week as a reminder for us goldfish brains?? after all it is v MSE :D

Managed to talk to some grown ups face to face today! Woohoo!

DS still trying to kill himself pulling flap on video cabinet down on himself. It is currently taped up, but I am squirming trying to see him as I type this.

He is currently blowing raspberries at the waste paper bin.

Took him to Roundhay Park Tropical House yesterday. He was okay til he got to the bats. Then it was all too strange for him, and he started really complaining!

Pasta bolognese baby food in the past has been okay, but yesterday was 'Gak!'. Today he seemed to like the nice rice pudding, but I think the best way to describe the result is 'blast radius'.

Went to get the washing out of the WM that I did yesterday, and the drain had backed up and the washing was all soggy and there was water standing in the WM. On second load now. Cleaned the loo, wash basin, emptied dehumidifiers, sorted bottles, changed towels upstairs. Now I need to really get moving. Came on here for inspiration.

When I came to change the bath towel, I looked at it, decided I hated it, and binned it rather than dutifully putting it to be washed etc. It was a rubbish towel that never got you dry. Why should I waste my time on it or inflict it on some poor soul shopping in a charity shop. I wouldn't even pass it to an animal shelter because it was absolutely pants. I felt all liberated afterwards. I am breaking free of keeping 'stuff' just in case.

To do - Fly Lady List, change bedding and downstairs towels, attack the ironing again and list at least one thing on ebay. Oh, and cuddle DS while singing along with pigpen.

Now I have given up the dreaded DC I have much less of a craving for chocolate. By giving up the diet drink, I may actually lose weight! Today I had a small bottle of Sprite, but was glad to get back to my tea. Result!!!

Hugs to all (except TNG - looks like he is spoken for :rotfl:)

feeling quite annoyed cos i've just been to get my work timetable, and basically i have been a little bit shafted. I have an hour off on Monday afternoon, i can go in 2 hours late on a Tuesday, and i have 3 hours free in the middle of friday, so not worth picking charlie up in that gap. GRRRRR! Most annoyed as i knew it would happen but the deputy head assured me that it wouldn't. Great for my morale that one. Anyway, i left before i said something i shouldn't,

so i thought i would come on here and chill out slightly before going and attacking some cleaning.

I'm cross with myself for not doing anything but the dishes so far today - however all this time I have been browsing for a London Hotel. Narrowed it down to within price range and district, 3 hotels all really crap looking and 2 star or a crap one which claimed to be 3 star. I'd been in contact with Lastminute.com to try and find out if one of their 'top secret hotels' was definitely in walking distance of Paddington but they never replied  understandably I guess but they risked me not booking! Just bit the bullet and booked it through quidco - hooray it was Paddington Hilton! £63 for one night! I wanted to stay there but Londontown.com have it for £116 plus VAT so I didn't bother! So now I am really excited about my short stay away
Off to get my son now. see you all later!
