Ooooooooooooo I got a badge I got a badge :D but I too have added 4 loads to my pile so whilst I would call it a hill now rather than a mountain there is still some way to go.

Thinking if I finish it tonight I can bask in the glow of a job DONE! Plus I can't see me wanting to do more tomorrow.

Daren't take pics of any other part of the house though

AAaaargh! Not enough hours in the day!
I'm having a don't know where to start evening. I was so pleased that I'd done more than usual in the livingroom last night but I've come home to find cat sick on my cream sofa and the rug. I did find the time to catch up on today's post though. Hugs for all who want one today and medals all round for good efforts.

Last nights dishes to wash, kitchen to make useable again.
    2 x washloads
Pick Sundays chicken clean and make stock (it's not Wednesday today is it?)
Make bread and bikkies for visiting on Thursday
    Fetch house plants back inside
Make a start on tomorrows list tonight.
Get lunch and things I need to do tomorrow ready
Plant out freebie plants (still in carrier bag by back door, wilting nicely)
Make supper.. what's that about 9pm?

    Race is on.
Catch up later, sorry for the fleeting visit.

Deal is I'll steal your badge :p :rotfl: just kidding, decided to save on the ironing and just put them in the drawer instead :D cheating but I have no idea where the iron is as I don't use it unless I have to :o like I said the kids have over 20 polo shirts each so they get all done together when they run out. DS1s dinner now in, pain in the bum making me cook twice! Well 3 times as when DP gets back I'll have ours to do.

    TNG well done :D
Solwaykid sorry to hear kitty is poorly, hope it wasn't too icky
Borderlakland well done at keeping up so well, definately not the only one with lack of space, I need to do some serious drawer switching

Giving up Coke, well maybe the health reasons, http://consumerist.com/consumer/plastic-food/is-drinking-12-diet-cokes-a-day-healthy-coke-thinks-so-262513.php many articles across the net on it and it's ingredients. Googling Aspartame is quite scary what it can do. The caffeine alone of course can cause headaches, nausia, lack of sleep etc etc. Nothing really 'good' in it I suppose aswell as the £ as it's a very expensive drink to have a lot of, I know when I stopped buying it for my partner as much I saved £24 a week. I am sure hev will tell you why she's stopping drinking it.

Just going to do the post for tomorrow, will be up in a mo.

    **Edit** now done :D
One day I might be more organised...........

  • Kitchen all cleaned up after dinner. DW emptied and refilled. Going to do some hand washing now. Have done downstairs windows and cleaned front door. Cleaned all downstair mirrors. Cleared out cd's, tapes and video cupboards and have loads more for boot sale. Just need to find a place to store it until I go to a sale. Quite pleased with what I have achieved today.x

I've been lurking on this board for a while, and have picked up lots of helpful tips.

I really need to get my housework under control though - I had been a SAHM/WAHM since July 2001, but at the start of this year I moved my business out into premises so am having to get used to working outside the home again. Luckily I finish for the day when I collect the boys from school, so I guess I need to get into the habit of doing housework when we get back home, but I don't want to :rotfl:

Last time I did this, I only had one son but now I have three of them - I want to be the kind of Mom who lets her sons have friends over any time, but I'm more like the kind who has to tidy the house for a day or two first

Here's how I've got on so far this week:

Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One
    [strike]Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
    [/strike]
    Level Two
    [strike]Clean floors
Clean cupboard door fronts and the front of appliances
Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front
Dust any extra furniture in dining room, checking for cobwebs on way round[/strike]

    Level Three
[strike]Wipe dining table (clean table cloth if necessary)
Wipe window sills, clean any marks off windows if required[/strike]

Wash the washer drawer out if it's gunky
Clean oven if you didn’t do it last week
    Extra Mission
    Choose one or more of:
    • Wipe the outside of all your small appliances (kettle, toaster etc)
    • Clean out your vacuum cleaner, get rid of the hair from the brushes, clean the filters is they are washable and clean anything else you can like the ‘muck bucket’ etc, make sure you leav it to dry thoroughly before putting it back together.
    • Clean out the freezer, I find the vacuum cleaner is good for getting up any crumbs in the bottom or stray peas etc. Defrost it if it needs it.
    • Sort through one cupboard, emptying it, wiping it out and wiping items before putting them back
Tuesday Living Room, Hall and Stairs

    Level 1
    [strike]Vacuum floors and sofas
    [/strike]
    Level 2
    [strike]Dusting, even if around everything
Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe
    Clean window[/strike]

Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets
    Level 3
    [strike]Wipe light switches and banister
Clean any other glass like mirrors etc
    Tidy shoes, coats and bags[/strike]

Vacuum under furniture (only if you won't hurt yourself doing it, don't want any injuries)
    Extra Mission:
Pick one or more of the following tasks –
    • Clear one hotspot
    • Clear one shelf, dust and replace items after giving them a wipe over
    • [strike]Sort through any magazines or paperwork lying around [/strike]
    • Clean fireplace, vacuuming it can help if it is very bad, wiping over with a damp cloth to make sure it's dust free, clean fire aswell if safe to do so (mine comes apart so can vacuum inside the cover)
