    morning all

I feel dreadful this morning. Im not sure what is wrong.

Perhaps its the fact I feel like I cannot keep up with my peers? Not just in the money sense but in other ways. I feel although I never show it, inadequate compared with others.

I shall spend 5 minutes today thinking happy thoughts and then boom I am sure I will feel much better.

Hey, can I offer a little bit of support?

Dave Ramsey really turned it all around for me, I watch his podcasts almost daily. His big saying is this, and it really rigns true for me...

"Live like no one else (today), so you can LIVE like no one else (tomorrow)"

I even have it printed out and laminated and on my wall!!

Just because your peers are "doing well" doesn't mean they are doing it debt free! You are living your life now frugally so that when your debt free and the house is paid off, you can really live as you want to! xxx

I think the old saying 'You never know what happens behind closed doors' is a good one to remember. People only let you see what they want you to see. No ones life is perfect.

Hope the nsd's are rolling in.

Couldn't agree more. I used to look like I had the perfect life, DH and I had nice gear, holidays, flash car etc etc. I was actually miserable, racking up debts, DH was selfish and I had to mop up the mess he repeatedly made, Dad was an alcoholic and I had to mop up his mess too, work was very pressured etc etc.

I'm way happier now, yet it looks from the outside like I haven't got a pot to pee in!!

You are doing great Sparky, don't let anyone make you feel otherwise Xx

Hi Thank you both! You are so right I do so appreciate your support. It sounds silly but I just don't feel able to talk to other people about some of the issues I face whilst trying to stay on the debt paying off path!

Yesterday I only spent £1.25 so not a NSD but hardly seeing as that was my lunch!

Today I have lots of meetings and things but out tonight. Hopefully not too spending but set myself a budget of £15 and walking home.

Hope you are all good and thank you again for reading.

PS this weekend I am aiming to list old clothes on ebay - I've lost so much weight so many don't fit but have so many pretty ones I would love to see someone else enjoy!

You are so right as always, honestly your comment made me so happy thank you x

this weekend has been surprisingly MSE. I paid for oyster credit, water and curry totalling £45. Mum gave me £40. So only £5 spent all weekend!! Amazing. Today has been a NSD - my third in June!

Just remembered that DH is away from sunday next week until Thursdayish. This means that although I have to spend next weekend, c£20 train fare I can have a few more NSD! I tend to just eat simply, and not buy much when he is away because cooking for one is a little dull! ( not saying that for everyone but for me without him it is!)

So, this next week I must pay a few more bills (I try to keep my money account until the payment due dates!) and try and save everywhere I can....

This week my aim is to not spend more than £10 on 'general spends' I seem to have let this slip a little over the last couple of weeks and totting it up has been more like £25!:money:

Also, I may get my VERRRRRY exciting job news tomorrow. I may get the status I need from the regulator.

Thanks all again for not only your support but reading. This diary has already done me so much good! XXX:T:T

No job news :( its about me becoming authorised with FCA .... because I have debt and with some catalogues fell behind (defaulted once) I have to go through special checks including have to explain to my directors all my income and outgoings, assets and liabilities and and a detailed breakdown of why this happened.... BUT I have wanted this for so long and it really brought to ahead my LBM.

If I get it, earning potential is far more thus I can pay my debt back quicker. BUT debt is stopping me get it. DOH!!!

Never mind.... because I was so worried I ended up not having my fast day and having some cake kind people bought in. Never mind but will refocus that tomorrow!

Everyone cross fingers and toes and think nice thoughts about the FCA man (its a man dealing with my case) to get him to approve me ASAP!
