    Hi all!

Bit of a spendy weekend - I had the shopping from ocado £63.23 but had £20 off so only £43.23. Had a few issues too so got a £10 off voucher for next shop so might be another one this week!

Also had to get a couple of summer dresses as the weather is causing wardrobe meltdown!! But only £10 spent.

    Happy Monday everyone!

So, had a very interesting day at work yesterday. Took a while to get my head around it.

Basically I had an email from a recruitment agent for a job paying £4,000 more supporting me at my company!!! That was forwarded straight to my boss....

Anyhow, did well not spending anything yesterday NPD up to 3 in May yay!!

Have a fab day all xx

So the job thing. Its not a new job (I dont want to leave me current company) but it was for a job working here as my junior. Paying £4,000 more than I am on!! Ridiculous. So after year end I will be speaking to my boss again about BONUS and PAYRISE!

Also booked another exam, debt is falling but I am struggling to do my 5:2 in this heat! I just want a nice chilled drink after a long day and struggle with not. (I was given lots of gin for bday and christmas so still MSE)!

    Never mind.

Hope you all have a great 'hump' day! x

It's always a bit of a kick in the teeth when you see people coming into the company on more money but less experience. But alas that is the price you pay for the stability of staying in a job long term. I've been with mine 14yrs and it can gall me sometimes, but then I have earned lots of good things by being here so long, so it all adds up in the end I guess. :)

You are so right, but I know that I do deserve it so I will mention it. I have already joked about it a few times.....

Thanks for your support Nelly x

    Morning all

Found out this morning that I will be suffering financial monitoring from my employer as our regulator requests it because of my previous issues. I don't currently know what this involves but I guess its all the problems I have brought onto myself.
Happy to be open about everything with them, but hate feeling like I am being punished for a couple of bad choices I made, My debt is nothing compared to some peoples & I don't have a mortgage.

Shouldnt be so self pitying but I just feel really down about it.

Plus my lovely bestest friend at work who is always a laugh and giggle is having a hard time. Poor blokes mum is very ill and he has booked the family holiday of a lifetime leaving tomorrow but hes pulled between this and his family. Awful situation.

Never mind - onwards and upwards

    Sparky x

  • Sorry to hear all that. At least you can prove to your employer that you are taking positive steps re finances now.

Will friend be covered by insurance if they can't go on holiday? Xx

hi all! Great bankholiday - got loads of studying done and had a few laughs with my family along the way.

Lovely friends mum is in a bad way - but she told him to go on holiday. Its only a couple of weeks and luckily for him the worst that happens (he has the funds set aside just in case!) he gets a flight back. Luckily she lives close to the UK airport he can fly too so that made him feel much better.

Work is hard at the moment, but I like to be busy! I have another wedding this weekend - first one as a married couple. luckily I am being a little MSE and wearing a pretty dress I already had, shoes I wear for work and 're-gifting' something we were given but just not our style. Its a lovely picture frame. I will also be a bit cheeky and am taking a hip flask of gin so at the paid bar just order tonic.... Thanks MSE!!

Have a fab day all x

So pay day... Wooohooo! minium payments paid - try to top up during the month.

Getting ready for this wedding on Friday. Had to get a lipstick yesterday ( none currently in stock) just to perk me up for the wedding. £2.99 well spent I think and such a treat trying them all on. I went to look at all the really expensive ones I would normally buy, chanel etc and honestly? Felt sick paying nearly £20 for a lipstick. Instead I chose my favourite colour in the cheapest brand. Seems just the same really.... very MSE!

Today at work I have so much on my plate - still the same amount to do as 5 day week but in 3 days! Wish me luck....

I hope you are all fabulous and enjoying the week even if it raining in May!
    xx
