identical thing for me today. LC tell me to get in touch tomorrow if its still not delivered. was this resolved for you? (I know OP is unlikely to see this).
I would rather it be resolved with the original order turning up than amazon having to re-issue as I am concerned about this AL service.

My order email said "Posted Through Letter Box" No idea who's letter box it was delivered to. Certainly wasn't mine.
Amazon were quick sending a replacement though.

It used to be predominantly DPD for me. They were great - a text the night before to remind or to reschedule, then a named on hour slot on the day. Fantastic!
Now, it's AL mostly, and all I have is a vague idea of the day. One package came at 1930 last night, carried by someone ON FOOT(!). I'm still paying the same prime money, but the quality of service has dropped substantially.
  • i'm currently in the midst of issues with amazon logistics. Ordered the new Call of Duty game for day of release (monday just gone), sat in all day only to receive an email saying delivery was attempted and they'd try again the next day. Thought that was strange as i'd sat there all day and not heard the buzzer, but put it down to maybe i was in the toilet upstairs and hadn't heard it, oh well nevermind. I head out to the shops and as I come out my buildings security door I see a delivery note wedged behind the buzzer box...

Yesterday i practically camped on the sofa, well within earshot of the buzzer and waited... 2pm rolls around and i get an email saying delivery attempted. i RUN down to security door and there is no note, no sign of delivery guy, etc. There is no way he rung the buzzer, in fact i seriously doubt he actually ever got to the building. We live in a relatively new estate but satnavs will take you here and its a big old building so its hardly hidden away!

did the online chat thang with amazon and got an apology, a refund on the £4.99 i paid for delivery and a promise that it would be here today but here i am still waiting despite it being out for delivery at 7am... I have little faith in it turning up!

I wouldn't mind so much but other couriers dont seem to have any trouble and all the bonus content that you get for buying day of release is now worthless, i might just as well have got the train to the town centre and got it from game...

amazon used to be really great for getting stuff delivered on time, i remember my mum getting a hoover delivered to her next day on a sunday once, but they seem to have gone downhill :(
  • This is a live real time review! I have taken time off work to collect a parcel that I paid next day delivery charge for. I am sitting at home right now and have been up since 5am. Literally 10 minutes ago I got an email stating that delivery was attempted but due to failure of delivery they will now attempt tomorrow!!! So far the doorbell did not even ring, no knocks on the door nothing and then an email out of nowhere saying all of this was apparently done and there was no one to take the delivery!! This is ridiculous! I used to love Amazon but no more! waste of both money (for delivery) and time (waiting for delivery)!! If I wanted delivery later I would not have paid for next day delivery, would I?!

With all this BLACK FRIDAY hype: for those who happen to read this post, I sincerely hope you can avoid the frustration and not pay extra charges to have next day delivery! its just a service that would give yo your products at the same time as the free delivery option (after 3-4 working days) but charge you more anyway. Avoid AMAZON LOGISTICS at all cost! The holiday season is too short for all of us who have been waiting the whole year to a stress free break only to have shoddy service from amazon ruin it for us!

Strangely, Amazon have gone back to using DPD and Royal Mail for me again now - Amazon Logistics having been hopeless.

Highly unlikely that my complaints will have achieved that change - though it would be nice to think that the barrage of complaints from other customers might have.

City Link, though, are even worse than Amazon Logistics - and that's saying something!

They explanation I got was Amazon have no interest in delivering their own packets.
They had a lack of practical capacity in the parcel market. Bought a cheap courier and used it where they had to. I gave/gives them leverage on other carriers.
So if other carriers are working for them, they will use them.

Mm have just had attempted delivery email.
Bizarre as I've been in all day, am still in my pyjamas!!!
    No missed delivery card.
Called Amazon the bloke didn't seem to have much of a clue tbh. Said he'll tell them to deliver tonight if they're around if not he tell them to deliver tomorrow morning. Which is weird as the email had already said they'd try next business day.

Am a bit concerned as it was a special deal that I doubt I'll get again and secondly it wasn't a cheap parcel.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow I guess?

But given that the package was given to the carrier on Monday evening, why did it take until Thursday to deliver it?

My status changed at just after 7a.m. telling me it's out for delivery. Will be interesting to see if it turns up, I will be home all day, just as I was yesterday. When delivery was supposedly attempted.
