Package left at No 1 instead of No 11 - Thankfully neighbour kindly brought it over to me a short while ago.0

Do not choose this method unless you can guarantee you will not go out on all the days they say it should arrive.
My parcel arrived today, they said it would be delivered on Friday (external factors, cancelled) Monday (external factors, cancelled) and today. The guy was in a car and the box appeared to have thrown from a high building!
Thankfully the contents were solid so not damaged during their adventurous journey.0 -

You can't choose who the carrier is - Amazon do. You only select how quickly you want your goods delivered/ how much you want to pay. I order at least once a week and always select the free option and it might be Amazon logistics, Royal Mail, Yodel, City Link, Hermes, DPD. I've only had one problem with Amazon Logistics and a quick call to Amazon had it redelivered at a day of my choosing, but I have the same guy every time and he's pretty efficient and doesn't leave it somewhere stupid if I'm not in and it won't fit through the letterbox.0 -
Got to admit my experience has been fine. I ordered something last week hooping I'd get it this weekend, nothing on Saturday so I though OK it's not the end of the world. Amazingly it was delivered on Sunday, left in an outbuilding of mine which is secluded with a card through the door saying so, I was very happy0

I have had loads of stuff delivered by AL and had no issues whatsoever. They seem to be self employed couriers, not a big co around here.
All in all a good service for me.0 -
Just thought I would see if others are having problems with Amazon Logistics and saw this thread which reflects a similar experience I'm having with Amazon Logistics.
I was informed by email this morning that pkg was going to be dlvd today then have been updated this afternoon to say that pkg had been dlvd 'left in porch'. No one was at home at the time they stated but there is no sign of it having checked everywhere and spoken to neighbours who would have around who could and would have taken the pkg on our behalf (as we all often do if we see a dlvy being made for one of us). It's possible it could have been pinched but very unlikely as neighbours are around and our porch area is well away from passers by.
I've contacted 'Amazon Logistics' by phone and they are looking into it so hopefully all will be well but I must admit I'm not overly impressed by this new service of theirs as the last one was a bit problematic ie they were 'Unable to Deliver' as no one in. We got an email to this effect, they didn't leave a card so make's me wonder if they actually tried on that occasion?
In the past, our many Amazon orders have been trouble free (except for one occasion many moons ago) so will soon lose confidence in their service if these sort of problems continue to keep happening. Certainly the service seems a bit iffy.
pkg? dlvy? Did cutting out those letters in your essay REALLY save you that much time?0 -
Up until a month or so ago, the vast majority of my deliveries have been via DPD and I think they're excellent. I had got used to the service and was forming a good relationship with the driver. As a Prime member, I was getting what I thought I was paying for. However, now they're using AL and it's all gone to pot.
No tracking other than 'today', which results in having to stay in all day unable to go out and too afraid to even go to the loo in case you can't get to the door within a milli-second of the bell ringing. And then, they don't deliver until 1900 - a day wasted.
At least with DPD I got a very accurate 1 hour slot, constant updates via website/phone and could go about my day until required.
Not happy at all with AL.0 -
Just an update, ordered an acer laptop for OH Thursday 5pm and got express delivery on it, which was same price as 2-3 day delivery. It was made by Amazon logistics.
Arrived yesterday at 12.20pm, 17h 20 min later. Lad was soaking as had to park at end of road and walk to house, but box was in plastic bag, dry as bone.
Excellent service from AL0 -
I've had quite a few items delivered by Amazon Logistics both at home and work without any problems, I always choose the free shipping option unless I need the item urgently.
I once made an order in the early hours of Saturday by free delivery and received it the next day which I thought was brilliant.0 -
I heard that Amazon are using another logistics company to deliver - they in turn employ owner-drivers as couriers.0
