My goodness, I hadn't realised Amazon logistics were bringing my goods from that far away. Not surprised the get delayed or lost on that car journey.0 -
Classic today.
Ordered a very small item, sent in what must be the smallest card sleeve Amazon do. Value £1. Well able to sail through the letterbox on length, width and depth.
Not only did my door get knocked, the driver left to try a neighbour when I didn't answer promptly! I was then handed the item when I did answer.0 -
Another one today, small item well able to fit through letter box, I answered the door within 15 seconds and driver was already writing out a card!
Another complaint to Amazon.0 -
Amazon Prime order supposed to arrive today. Then 2 emails, half coming today, half tomorrow. Todays half now not coming even though I had an email saying it was at the Logistics depot (20 miles away) at 7:30 this morning. Customer service don't know what is happening. Tracking says "Delay in Delivery Due to External Facors". Complete and utter shambles. I will never use Amazon again.0

You'll never use Amazon again because they happen to have messed up on ONE delivery? :rotfl:
I've been a Prime customer for years and probably receive on average 3-4 parcels a week from them, so over 200 per year. They've only ever lost one parcel in transit and one was delayed by a day for which I received an extra month prime membership each time by way of apology.0 -

So lets say you are a self employed driver on a multi drop route and are involved in a crash. Van is undriveable.
What is your contingency?0 -

This isn't the first they have messed up on. If they use an external carrier, everything is fine. It is always Amazon Logistics who get it wrong. Amazon cannot even say where the parcel is. Rubbish service. So lets say you are a self employed driver on a multi drop route and are involved in a crash. Van is undriveable.

If that were the case I could understand it. But it isn't. Amazon Logistics had the parcel at 7:30 am, at a depot 20 miles from my house. It was loaded on the van. No problems with the van all day. They don't know where the parcel is, or why it wasn't delivered. And the thing is, they just don't care.0 -
Further to the above. I have just received an email from Amazon stating "As per the recent tacking the item was delivered to you last night and you refused the delivery."
Whar utter c**p!!!! No-one ever tried to deliver the item. Whoever said they did is a total liar! What a rubbish organisation.0 -

Maybe it was misdelivered to someone else, who refused it because it wasn't theirs?
Mistakes happen, and you need to remember that 'Amazon Logistics', despite the name, just comprises a number of different, cheap, delivery companies operating in different parts of the UK. Some are good, some aren't, and within each company there are inevitably good drivers and bad ones.
It's Amazon's responsibility, of course, and they fully accept that. But Amazon have no real control once it's been handed to the subcontractor. That's the price you pay to keep Amazon's delivery costs down, and the prices competitive.
Most of the time it's difficult to beat Amazon on price, and that's one of the reasons why. Their customer service is still a lot better than John Lewis' though!0
