Been swimming, was v nice, DD did some very fast doggy paddling across the pooland then we had lunch in the cafe
Been to @ldi on way home. Also need to email councillor as he was supposed to send me the geotechnical report but hasn't, maybe he took my email address down wrong when he called for it this morning. He also said we can meet with the experts to talk through the report if required.
Want to mow the lawn this afternoon. Should do it before WM finishes really, our swimmies are on a quick wash just now. Then I will prep salad and stuff for later so when my friend gets here we can just have a natter. Right. I'll go find his email address...
ETA trampoline is now on fleabay and has been bid on so is definitely going soon, hooray! It finishes later so hope I get some more bids :TBossymoo

Beautiful day here. Went for a long country walk with my friend the did 2 1/2 paid gardening next door, a friendly blackbird joined me an is stuffed ful of worms and grubs. I'm a tad tired but have certainly topped my vit D up.
Off for a clean up then to the shops and to watch/collect //ds3 from athletics, fingers crossed please as he is very nervous. Jumping t 16:55 I think. Due at a Governor thing tonight but not sure I'll make that. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Ooh good luck for DS, dusty!
Took me a while to do the lawn. First the handle slipped off (I really need to mend it properly rather than fasten it together with a tie wrap) then by some miracle I heard the doorbell, and had a chat with the property solicitor neighbour, then DD wanted me for something. Eventually it is done, mower now laid on its side drying out properly and we look neat(ish) again. Need to weed again though...
Swimming stuff hung up to dry, now having a breather, a drink and opening my mail.
Oh, councillor was emailed so awaiting reply.Bossymoo

JTTOU, I'll supply the tonic if you bring the gin. Deal?
Thankyou HoneyBear for the shove into the shower yesterday, I'm not sure it made me feel better but I certainly smelled a lot sweeter
Work decluttered for the day, DH is at home as he's "not well", he is such a big baby sometimes! So I now need to collect DSS as well as DS2 as DH is too "not well" to drive for 20 mins *rolls eyes*
Emptied the airer first thing, only two items in the load needed ironing so I'll leave them until tomorrow. One load ready to be strewn, another waiting to be stuffed into the machine.
Today's to do:
Vacuum throughout
Dust the lounge
Mop kitchen and bathroom
Collapse is a heap immediately afterwards
Since I started using unloved shampoo to clean the bath it seems to be staying much cleaner, I don't get it but I'm not complaining!0 -
Before I forget to say it (I have bad brainfog just now) Hoppy Birdday to Mumto5's DS2.
I finally got to play with the new lawnmower yesterday evening; Mr LW got it out and started doing the back lawn, then asked if I wanted to drive it for a bit; basically we took it in turns - he took over when I started flagging, and I had another go when I'd caught my breath.:o I think I may struggle to get it in and out of the shed, as it's a bit of a tight fit, bit I can actually manage to use it!!:T:T:T My shoulders are very stiff today; but from the looks of it, the handle can be set lower, so I'll try that next time and see if it's better for me.:o
Daisy is here; we've had a nice walk, and she's eaten a reasonable (for her) helping of chicken. She's got a really tiny appetite, and to my mind doesn't eat enough to keep a sparrow alive; but she seems ok on it.:o
Dusty best of luck to DS3.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
did mils cleaning this morning and put a load in the wm for her, thinking it will give her something to do later hanging it out.
been work fed dh just as i was waving him off back to work i realised i should have blagged a lift off him as id promised DS2 id meet him out of school to get his hair cut, started walking and a neighbour stopped me and offered me a lift as she was going that way, so just got to the church as he was heading out of school. was dreading the haircut as he always moans they do it too short then leaves it for ages so it looks unkempt, hed actually started hacking chunks out himself gets there i said he wanted it keeping long but just tidying out and thinning, no says he i want it like you always do it! kids eh!! now have a very smart almost short back and sides cut he looked like a beatle before she did it

Deal - however my tipple with a tonic is vodka - not sure I've got any - or gin! if it's alcohol in our house it doesn't last!:DOnly drank gin once and it made me maudlin.
Had to get a into gear as had call in for meeting at vol job 1 so just decluttering a well earned coffee and about to do some posters for tomorrow. Then - as it has started to sunshine might just do an hour's weeding.
SC meal is in and smelling delish - new recipe so fingers crossed DH likes it.
Will catch up with rest of the thread now and thank heavens you guys are doing enough for me too!!!July 16 £95/£200

Thinking positive thoughts for your DS3 Dusty.
I've stock-checked the freezer and realised quite a few things have freezer burn and we're never going to eat them, so I've just made Mrs Dog's day by feeding her mashed sweet potato with a couple of shrivelled up white fish fillets stirred through it. I've just tried a ham stock and pea soup and I think I've just died and gone to heaven it was so lovely and it used up a very manky spud that is well and truly sprouting. I'm seeing how long I can last without going food shopping while OH is away and so far the dog and I are eating fantastically well.
Shower room cleaned, the rest of the house dy$oned, dry washing in and another load on now that I have some line space.Better is good enough.0 -
Folded 2 loads of laundry, small ironing pile formed but I know there is more in the machine so I'll do that in the morning. Lots of tidying up of little things throughout and some paid stuff done. Didn't get around to cleaning the bedrooms like planned, but there is always tomorrow evening once DD has gone
Now I need to organise tea, wash my hair, juggle another load of washing and try to stay awake for work from 6pm
I have a really CBA feeling today too
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
I've just finished the paid stuff for the day, well sort of. I need to leave the pc on just in case an important email arrives. So I am eating crisps and catching up on here quickly, before I wash up, walk the dogs and cut the grass.
The weather is lovely and makes me feel so much happier after all the rain of the last week. Had a lovely walk with the dogs this morning, OldDog pretty much walked to heel even though she was on the extending lead, and we got to see great crested newts close up as the environment people were surveying the ponds where we walk.
Happy days. Hope everyone else is ok.Spend less now, work less later.0
