Evening all, have just finished cutting DHs hair and sweeping up. Also had a change of plan this morning and spent some time in the sunshine in the garden before the paid stuff, so didn't do anything off of todays list. Tomorrow morning will be paperwork for me as its payday.

    Welcome newbies.
Karen, always kitchen sink for me. If the dishes are done it just looks so much better, oh and beds made, makes the room look tidier.

Interesting reading about letting dog off lead gradually (sorry I can't remember who) as we're at the stage now where OldDog doesn't want to walk off lead anymore. Normally when she's having one of those days, she just stands still till you put the lead back on, but today she turned round to walk back home. So from tomorrow, I am going to walk her on one of those long extending leads. So sad when they are growing old...

Aww Jazee I remember my pooch getting like that. I got him for Xmas when I was 9 and he was my best buddy. When he got to about 14-15 he would happily walk to the field and have a good sniff around, but coming home he would park himself on the path and look at me as if to say "I've had enough walking now" the number of times I had to tuck him under my arm and carry him home :D aww, he was lovely my doggie, just like a grumpy old man, but always a softy with me.

Well I'm still a bit behind as so much has been going on here, what with paid stuff, councillors, police liaison officers and errant gyps!es, lol I just haven't got everything done.

But I've caught up a little tonight then been on the phone to my mum for an hour. There is a court case looming for her foster kids and she has to decide in the next month if (providing they are not to go back to mum) she wants them long term or not. It's a huge decision.

Anyway small folk bathed fed and bed, oh my that bath water looked contaminated by the time they were done

Sorry pigpen - tell me if I'm out of order here - to my mind there is NO EXCUSE for a man to hit a woman  NEVER !! I think it totally unacceptable and they deserve -- well I won't say on here.
RIP Stephen Sutton, such an inspirational young man...
Gosh - I felt a tug on my heart and a tear in my eye. Thought it was inspirational what his Mum said as well. Guess the coffers will be added to even more now - just hope some good comes of it all :)

I have a full mug of coffee im avoiding like the plague a huge job of trying to sort this mess out here after a 8 hour shift in work I am not feeling th love is there anywhere in particular you all start on to see a difference immediately x
I would get a trolley or some boxes and go into main rooms, Kitchen/Living area/Bathroom/Bedroom and collect anything in wrong places then put in a cupboard to sort later. Put everything laying about into tidy heaps and put neatly against a wall. That way I think you might start to see the 'wood for the trees'. Good luck :D

Bossy - thanks a million for the recipe. I will give it a try next week when all decorating done - it sounds heavenly :D

Just the glossing left to do in the bathroom and kitchen :j Will do Friday. Everything cleaned and put back such as racks/shelves/pictures and mirrors. Just stuff left for where I have to gloss such as window ledges and boxing in bathroom.

Cleaned up all the painting stuff and swept all the floors through, washing the kitchen and bathroom floors. Went to work and now back home - ab-so-bl**dy-cream-crackered :rotfl:

Will get back to the lists tomorrow

Hope you all have a terrific Thursday and good vibes to all households suffering the exam tensions :)

Lynne.. I quite agree!! And believe me if he comes near her again I will have his knackers in a vice, give him a rusty hacksaw and set gbf shed alight!! Little $h!t!!! DS2 is really upset by it all too.. He had always loved her best even though he has his issues and finds relationships difficult he is very protective of her. DS1 is gunning for him too!

My internet is being fixed tomorrow so I can stop this terrible phons replying thing which is really hard!! The letters are too tiny and I make loads of errors!!

Got lots more of the lilac shawl done.. If is very pretty, I will share a pic as soon as I can!!

    Morning all

I've had a lovely hour enjoying a cuppa on the kitchen sofa with the mogs. Can't believe the time now, time to start the day.

Mog feeding and washing up first and a lovely walk with a frien to look forward to.

    Good morning ladies.

DS2 is 16 today. He has Chemistry GCSE's today which seems a bit unfair. It is also my nephew's birthday, he is 2, they share their birthdays with my dearly departed grandad.

The plan today is to bake him a cake and tidy my room which has become a dumping ground for clothes nobody knows what to do with. Another trip to the clothing bank is on the cards. The bathrooms need a S/S and the hard floors are going to see the mop.

I had a £££'a trip to the dentist yesterday and I have another one today. It has cleared me out so no spending at all til next Friday. I have 2 bars of petrol (66 miles worth) so I'll be doing lots of walking.

  • Morning all - thank heavens for another day!

Hugs sticks spoons and exam stress relieving vibes for all needing them - me included:rotfl:

Just one more important email today after so many emails and phonecalls yesterday I lost count!

    Then need to:

I used to do the box stash LynneJK and it does help temporarily but never really goes away and so grows into a cane toad!!! I have now got to the stage where the box is out to try and motivate me to reduce its contents! It may go back in a cupboard before the beginning of June however as we are having visitors. The good thing is there is much much less of it than previously.

Agree with you all about Stephen Sutton.

Have a good day everyone. xx
