I used to do the box stash LynneJK and it does help temporarily but never really goes away and so grows into a cane toad!!! I have now got to the stage where the box is out to try and motivate me to reduce its contents! It may go back in a cupboard before the beginning of June however as we are having visitors. The good thing is there is much much less of it than previously.
I just suggested it as a way to try to take control over the mess :) I know what you mean about it growing but as you say it does seem easier to get it sorted :)

    Morning all. Posivibes where needed.

I have to admit to not flying particularly well round the house this week and this morning will be similar as I need to sort the fridge and meal plan for the week ahead before the paid stuff. This is because DH wants to do the food shopping today rather than at the weekend which is fair enough.

He is treating me to a meal out tonight though.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Morning alll

Mogs accidentally shut out last night so I now have one on my lap very pleased to be in.

Nice quiet day for DS3 and me today but DS2 has his first exam, I'm hoping he has slept.

Going to start with ironing, floor hoovering/mopping and WM feeding.

LynneJK - I was just putting the much much further on than the initial boxes point of view! I have been there too.

Paperwork is and always has been my nemesis. I used to have very large boxes and bags of paper all stuffed everywhere especiall before visitors came and did the whole door shut " you can't go in there" bit :o. Still have loads of DS "stuff" on floor in his old room waiting for him to live in somewhere bigger than a shoebox and loads of CB possible "stuff" in another room as well as some of my late Mum's "things" in another.

Paperwork was always my downfall - and became worse temporarily since I decided to try to clear and rearrange cupboards:eek:.

My paperwork to sort is now kept all together in a much smaller box and is going down - just did 15 mins now - but some of it is sentimental and hard to let go.

Now we have a new printer which has a flatbed scanner I may be able to get rid of more as can scan things in to keep if necessary. Someone on here already scans bills etc - brilliant idea.

All I would suggest before you do the boxes thing is a quick scan through for important stuff like passports, insurance docs etc - from experience there is nothing worse than a panicky rummage through loads of paper when you need something in a hurry! My best buy was a large fireproof box - A4 size in which our most imp papers are ( ususally) kept. I can now "see" my passports sitting with my make-up so not always used properly!!!

I am still not sure what the final answer will be re our paperwork. It seems to grow at a massive rate - suppose catching up totally should be on my agenda first then maintenance - bit like losing weight!:rotfl:

Whatever you decide - good luck - it can't be worse than mine was!:o

Today - another long day in CS getting ready for re-fit - may take lunch but don't tell DH please.

    Good morning all

Welcome to new and returning Flyladies.
    Hope Mumto5's DS2 had a Hippo Bathday.
Posivibes for your Ex today, Skinty.

We had another lovely day out yesterday with my schoolfriend on our local heritage railway - the weather has been really kind to us, with dark clouds avoiding us wherever we go :) More sunshine today for her journey home.

I want to get some washing hung out and do a few little bits in the garden this morning before I take her into B'ham to catch her train at midday. Lots to do this afternoon and evening, including Christian Aid collecting and writing down exactly what I need to pack for a special picnic tomorrow, so that hopefully I won't forget anything vital like bread for the peanut butter sandwiches! Because we've been out, the house is still tidy and there's very little dust :D

(((Hugs))), spoons and sticks to all, especially households with exam takers x

Just finishing my coffee and will then crack on. Am bursting for the loo so will clean it whilst I'm in there.
DW emptied, reloaded and started again. WM on. Gorgeous day so will hang sheets on washing line.
Need to mow lawn and hope to have it done before the green men arrive or it'll be sitting there until 2 weeks time!
As you can see, I have done very little this week. I've done the dailies etc and have wiped down the sides in the kitchen but as I left it spotless on Monday evening and walked into a midden on Tuesday morning, it needs bottoming out.
I will crack on with what I can manage, it appears I am actually back into day mode today though (just in time for my nights to start tomorrow!).

I live very close to the coast. As I drove to cubs last night, I had to go up over a hill and come down a very steep hill (Monk's hill, National trust etc), as I popped over the top of the hill, I could see Sand bay, Sand point with a great big dredger behind it and then a very clear view the Welsh mountains. The road then turns to the left and I was faced with a view of the bay, the tide was in and the sun was twinkling from the surface. It took my breath away and I thought, "I'm so Bl***y lucky!". Still have that feel good feeling today. I wish I could pass it on to those of you who need a little pick me up.

    Morning all :D

Hugs, spoons, vibes and kicks where needed ;)

Todays plan is to get bills paid, some paid stuff, and I need to go into town. I was going to walk but I'm thinking I might jump the bus especially as I want to go to a particular market stall to get some satsumas again :D Last time he has an offer of buying 10 at a reduced price, so I bought 20 and we went through them in a weekend :rotfl: I also need to do some other errands closer to home so it makes sense to get the bus. At least this bus pass is a freebie thanks to a twitter promotion by the bus company :money:

Ex text me last night to let me know he'd be slightly later coming to get DD today as he needs to do something before he can collect her. But I haven't told her, as far as she is concerned he'll be here around 5pm, when in reality it'll be more like 6.30-7pm. I'm going to tell her when she gets in, but say I forgot to tell her before school, just too see how fast she can actually get home when she puts her mind to it.

If its gone its done or doesn't apply.

    This week:
Fri: Bank, errands; DD going away, Pay CT
    Weekend: |DD away until Sun.

    Personal:
    Clean up DDs custom shoes.
    Pay Council tax (Fri)

Well I'm getting nowhere fast :( More GUAG needed :o
I forgot to get the washing in yesterday so that's still out there. The WM is on so by the time that's done any dampness should have gone and I can swap it over. DW also on. And other washing folded ready to put away.
Toilet cleaned and cat litter changed. I've also been to the neighbours and fed their tribe and done their cat litter. I actually got loving off one of their Siamese which is quite amazing.
The new light fitting on my daughter's Chameleon viv is playing up, can't wait to tell her that later
I have some paperwork to sort and shred so think I'll do that next . . .

Oh before I go I have to tell you how old I was made to feel yesterday (I'm 38 in July). I was in HMV with my friend yesterday, he's 25, we were looking at dvd's and he says "Who the hell is Luke Goss?!" I says "You know the bloke from the boy band Bros" the look I got was similar to  He didn't have a clue!! I explained and then bombarded him with youtube clips when I got home :D I'd like to add I was never a "Brosette"!! I loved NKOTB :smileyhea
