Fwiw, I have no idea who Luke Goss is, either; I've heard the name Bros but have no idea who they are really, or what their music is like; and I never heard of NKOTB. My vintage is more T.Rex, Slade and Alice Cooper.:D

Um... did you see Blade 2 or Hellboy 2 The Golden Army? Luke Goss was in both of those. As an aside, Alice Cooper is in this month's Men's Health, talking about his passion for golf... :D

No, not seen either of those films. We often intend to see a film, then Life gets in the way; either I'm not well enough to go, or we have a dog staying that we can't leave for that long, or *hangs head in shame here* we just plain forget it's on.

I'll have a handful of spoons and a large vodka, ta muchly.:D

Daisy is sunbathing on the back lawn.:D

DD has finished packing and done a batch of dishes (all mugs otherwise she'd have cleared it all :o) and is now dusting the bedrooms. When she's done and comes down I'll give her her pocketmoney/wages (she's asked for half to be paid into her bank account so she can save it :money:). I've tided up right through, opened windows to let the slight breeze in to try and cool the house down, emptied the bins and now currently trying to check that all my booksmarks I have on DDs laptop are actually on my laptop as well :o:rotfl: Found a couple that aren't. If I can transfer these over now, then over the weekend I can have a sort through and set up the sync so that both laptops will have the same bookmarks installed ;)

I'll run henry right through the house when DD has gone, throw a ready meal in the microwave and then settle down to catch up with my TV and rewatch a couple of things DD has talked through when we've been watching them.

Another busy day, making the most of the strange yellow circle thing in the sky.

I have been finding things to wash. Whole whirley full dry and in the airing cupboard. My winter coat is nearly dry too.

Hall scrubbed to beyond. Front door cleaned. Coach light brushed and carefully wiped. Wall brushed. Door mat shaked and path brushed. Ground floor and halfway up stairs henried.

Mr T visited. Dancegran visited to drop of dancesis's birthday pressy.

    HHG done

    Shed aired

    Windows flung open

    Stuff sold and collected x

I have frog munched (*urp*) and have three pairs of heavy duty blue cotton trousers that look rather smart now that I have hemmed and ironed them. For the first time in my life I ironed, measured, chopped, ironed again, turned, pinned, tacked, ironed, turned, pinned, tacked and machined each pair. No wonder my usual slapdash methods left my previous attempts looking a rather more than a tad ... sloppy and slapdash. Lesson learned. And, I discovered that if I machine rather more slowly, I can follow a straight line. Second lesson learned.

It hasn't taken me all afternoon, just most of it. I also made a batch of hummus, cleared the kitchen, ran the DW, walked the dog a couple of times and had a chat with the lodger, remembering to thank him for the box of strawberries he gave me the other day. Fab, really lovely English ones.
    Better is good enough.

Today was described by one small person as 'awesome'!
    Why?

Because we have been bug and small creature huntingon the field and in the allotments. And I found something I had never seen before - a little toad which was probably a tadpole last year. They were in AWE. We brought it back and all had a good look at it; shared it with Y1 and reception then took it home. (We didn't handle it; it was popped into a vivarium with some cool, damp moss;))

And then I have come home and gardened for 2 hours and tidied the shed - I now no longer have to reach in for stuff - I can get in there and get it. Shed swept, spade washed. DS's football deviously retrieved from over the back fence - I flung a bucket over with my extenstion wire looped thruogh the handle, tipped it on its side and shoved the ball in then hauled it back. There are conifers so its totally inaccessible from the other side of the fence, anyway! Old bench cover and old strimmer have been binned *fling*

    *glow*

DS, the football loser, is 21 in September! :rotfl:
