Hello, tyres done, £££s decluttered. While they were being done, I took DD and her BF for tea and cake, only to find when it came to paying the bill that they don't take cards. Anyway, we managed to scrape the cash together with 35p to spare.

Recovery thingy for pc done, I let it finish its stuff while we were out. Just about to bring the washing in and then clean the car. Gardening later.

Sat in the garden for nearly 3 hours with my friend, Vit D levels nicely topped up.

I've cleaned the bathroom, 2 loads of washing, ironed all the shirts and cooked the meat for pasties. Just having a cuppa then I'll clean the shower room, get the washing in, make the pasties and iron the last couple of bits from the line.

No paperwork achieved, not in the mood but not gardened either, not lots to do out there and I may get an hour tomorrow morning.

Valli - lovely your pupils having a great day. How is DD doing with her revision?

I squirted a bit of weed killer earlier. Then went for a walk with NDN to check out the demolition work. I think (it's hard to tell) the work is perhaps not as far along as we originally thought. So we are much relieved although there is Japanese kn0tweed  so the main thing now is ensuring it gets treated before it encroaches on my land.
We may have stopped in a beer garden on the way home ;)

Need to get the littlies indoors - they are goosed. Bed I think. They can have a bath in the morning...

Ok so I cleaned the car but the only gardening done was sitting out in the sunshine topping up Vit D and reading the paper. I'm now having my very summery tea - rice with cold meats and salad - but still need to walk the dogs, water the plants, and wash up.

Feeling very virtuous! In anticipation of my new office / study area I have purchased some desky type items including a new concertina file.

I have been through my paperwork stash and edited, then refiled in lovely labelled slots in my new box :T

Lots has gone in chiminea so I've had a little bonfire too! I now have an in-tray of things to be dealt with and a file tray for stuff that's ready to go in the new box. Get me all organised! :D ugh, in getting organised though it does mean I need to deal with my tax credits overpayment... Yuck.

I now want to have me a shower and I have a pile of laundry to put away, then its bedtime.

    Good morning all :hello:

I went downstairs at 6:30 to make a cuppa and decided to refill the bird feeders with mealworms and fat pellets. I'd hardly turned my back when a flock of starlings - including several youngsters - came down for a feeding frenzy. The magpie has scarcely got a look in, and as for the squirrel... s/he's gone off in disgust! But the great t!ts were bold enough to nip in between and grab what they wanted :) I fear all the squawking will have woken our lovely neighbours :o

I have plenty of greenfly on my roses to feed an army of blue t!ts but they're multiplying faster than the birds can pick them off :(

Mowed the lawn last night and even trimmed the edges :D
Today's plan is computer work this morning and the garden centre this afternoon, to buy a climbing rose and an umbrella for the decking area so that we can sit out and enjoy the garden. That should bring on the rain that my young plants need to settle in :p

I think we might do an alfresco breakfast....
