100 mile drive home and OH succeeded in giving himself heat stroke yesterday so rather unwell.. We have pixies thanksgiving today's d he can barely lift his head off the pillow.. I may murder him!!!

My tummy is killing me.. I feel like I have terrible trapped wind and it's refusing to move.. Looks like a good day for us!!

DD3 is refusing to go out to look at castles with Kh today so he is dropping her off with DD1 in about an hour!! She told him if he must take them out to take them somewhere they would like to go rather than places he likes! Haha. Apparently they aren't allowed to sit and relax they have to bd drawing or eating of out .. They aren't allowed to have vital down time.. They had SATs and end of year tests this week.. DD1 told him he needs to learn to parent not just keep making them do stupid stuff when they need to relax and to not just dump them back on me or her when they dong want to do what he wants to do

Good for DD1 pigpen personally I think it does kids good not to have every waking moment organised for them. Time to just "be" and make their own entertainment gives them a little autonomy. Although DS used his down time last night to chalk roads, traffic lights, double yellow lines and even a police station all over the garden :D we are forecast storms tonight :rotfl: he will have to do it all over again later in the week...

DW needs emptying, but other than that kitchen is ok and I've made butties for our picnic later.

I've a touch more paperwork to look through - a bag of stuff given to us by the previous occupants *cough* seven years ago

    Morning all.

I'm up after about 4-5hours sleep. Between the house being 22C and someone playing music just loud enough for me to be able to hear the bass until gone 1am I haven't had the best nights sleep. Coupled with Friday night been an extremely restless night where I woke repeatedly I'd rather still be in bed, but I know I have lots to do today, especially before DD comes home later. :(

I did a colour stripper on my hair yesterday (thank you Fizz for the recommendation! :D ) and it's worked. For the first time in about 10 years I'm blonde, which is my natural colour, but its not my blonde if that makes sense. Its very brassy, think sunflower yellow :rotfl:, so I'm on a mission to get it to a more natural colour today. This means washing it in baby shampoo a few times which will apparently work, then a really deep condition will be needed later. Just one wash this morning and its already looking better, I even have highlights & lowlights without the expense of going to the hairdressers or having to put them in myself :j:money:

So I've stripped my bed, washed my hair, put the quilt/cuddly toys/pillow of DD's through the drier for 30min each to air them a bit more as they weren't 'quite right', WM x1 which is now blowing on the line (DD will be mortified her unmentionables are on the line but I don't care :rotfl::rotfl:), checked email, opened the windows upstairs for a bit, eaten breakfast and now I'm going to put another wash load on (I think it may have to be towels as there's no line space ATM and the towel wash takes longer than others :rotfl:) and wash dishes after washing my hair again. ;)

Best get a move on, I have no idea what time DD will be home except 'after dinner'

  • Morning all - just! Not just got up - but did have a lie in finishing book 2 that I only borrowed from the library yesterday:o - they were not very long books and I am a skim reader.

After shower and breakfast have done 1 hr 20 in garden followed by brief break and another half hour. Have a "lunchtime" appt but no def time so am showered again - lunched and waiting for a call. Good job as I had soil all over my face and even on my nose!!!:rotfl: my glasses kept sliding down it so I had to push them back up!!

More gardening this afternoon as meant to rain here all week and need to weed then get the mulch down before it does so.

Have a good day everyone. x

Hello all. Well today has not got to plan. The plan was gardening but I've spent all the morning taking DD to hospital, getting meds and generally getting flustered with her moaning. I'm hoping she'll decide to go to BF's later so I get some peace.

The dogs did get a walk at the crack of dawn and had the pleasure of meeting a lovely husky out with his owner. I'll take them out again later. And I have watered my plants indoors (except tomatoes, must do those later) and I've now weeded the front garden.

It's our anniversary today, so I'm waiting for DH to come home from the paid stuff so we can go out for a celebratory meal.

I hope everyone has a great afternoon.

Happy Anniversary Jazee & Mr Jazee:beer:

Frog eaten yesterday - we've moved a load of dirt from part of the garden to fill in the tree-rat run under the fence; so little Coco (a Chorkie - Chihuahua/Yorkie cross)won't be able to nip under there, when she and her friend Ellie come to stay, in June.:o

Today we got down the big, heavy lounge curtains - they're full-length, to cover the patio door and adjoining full-length window - and got them washed, dried and re-hung.:T They can be washed in the WM, but have to be done one at a time. It's so nice today, it was an opportunity not to be missed.:o I have to say, they were absolutely gross - covered in dust at the top, as I don't think they've been done for three years. *hangs head in shame* All clean now, though.:T
