Hey Lin, I think in the UK you can afford more because you do not have to pay health insurance. I pay over $5000 for my health insurance. If I was in the UK I would be much richer.
    Is that $5000 per year?
    If so, crumbs!
    We are lucky!

Although remember, over here, you'd probable earn less, so it's all relative.

Anyway, I know this is MSE, but enough of the finance!

Where did you go! What did you do? ( hold the more graphic details!) :rotfl:

It's a year Pyxis and with taxes my salary equates to very little. Grocery shopping is also very expensive here, that is why fast food is the choice for so many because it is cheap.

Where did we go? My house, I cooked for him and we watched half of a movie... The rest can be left to the imagination. :rotfl:
    Whoops-a-daisy

So glad you are enjoying yourself Oduliet, watch this space!

Just to say in regards to cost of living, I found that what you lose in health insurance and lower salary, you make up with much lower property costs and entertainement. Of course, that also very much depends on where you are in the States.

Be nice to hear how she is getting on but she is most likely enjoying spending time with the guy.
