Guys, really?!?!? Why have you decided to start a fight in this thread?
I am American! Esmerelda98, Daisyegg and Georgiegirl256 if you have a problem with me and doubt I'm real, why not come and talk to me? There is a private message function you could use. I am an amicable person and I don't bite. You could have said what you did on the forum to me in private and if I really have to prove I'm real because you doubt me as I said "no I never" then private message me and I will invite you to skype with me so we can put an end to this. What you said was not necessary.
Big-Package I also do not condone your sentiments. If you feel my thread is a place for you to attack people on what they say, then you are mistaken. I will deal with my skeptics in a mature way without resorting to insults, thank you very much.Whoops-a-daisy :cool:0 -
I think he would have liked it. I was tempted to show him the support I received from his fellow countrymen, but looking at what has happened to my thread over the last 24 hours, I don't think he would like it.Gosh, I hope Oduliet shows this thread to her new friend, he would be either horrified or in pain with laughter if he saw what he caused!Whoops-a-daisy :cool:0 -

Thank you for your sensible comments. You do not have to prove anything to anyone. It really doesn't matter if I or a few people are sceptical about you (I am undecided really). Plenty of people believe you and you have had lots of support. Whether or not it is real, I have also enjoyed reading your saga. I apologise wholeheartedly for derailing your thread, and wish you well, especially with your blossoming relationship!0 -
I would like to apologise as well oduliet for fighting in your thread. I owe an apology to daiseegg as well for insulting her. My actions on this occasion cant be justified and for that i'm sorry.0

As far as I'm concerned the OP seems like a lovely lady who came here wanting advice and got bizarrely caught up in some kind of nasty slanging match that she had definitely not deserved.
As far as using British phrases (if she indeed did) well she has admitted to loving British TV shows and has possibly subliminally picked up all sorts of our phrases, in the same way my kids have picked up lots of American phrases from TV (mostly the Disney Channel).
I wish you well Oduliet in your new romance, I hope he treats you with respect and you both thoroughly enjoy the time you spend together. xThere is no shame in not knowing; the shame lies in not finding out.0 -

This is exactly what I assumed.
Oduliet, I love British comedies too (I can't remember if you said that you had seen Fawlty Towers, but if not, you must), but at the moment my favourite comedy is American - The Big Bang Theory. Do you watch it?0 -

I agree about Big Bang Theory. I also absolutely love Frasier and we tend to run all the way through my boxed set ever couple of years."'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life

Big Bang Theory is certainly enjoyable to watch, but it's not what I'd call funny. I think it's more because I can't really relate to them, the inbetweeners on the other hand... :rotfl::rotfl:0

I've watched quite a few episodes of Frasier but I don't find it as laugh out loud funny as Big Bang or Friends. I find Big Bang is very cleverly written. The other night we had just watched an episode of Big Bang and we turned the tv on to see the last few minutes of Mrs Brown's Boys which is mainly just cheap laughs and I felt quite embarassed that it was a British comedy. You can't help laughing at Mrs Brown's Boys, but Big Bang is in a completely different league.0
