This is exactly what I assumed.

Oduliet, I love British comedies too (I can't remember if you said that you had seen Fawlty Towers, but if not, you must), but at the moment my favourite comedy is American - The Big Bang Theory. Do you watch it?
My mom has told me about Fawlty Towers. It was really popular over here when she was young but unfortunately I have been unable to find it online.

TBBT well it's like every American TV show, good for the first few seasons and then gets ridiculous. Seasons run too long and you get pointless filler episodes which ruin it. This is why British TV shows are also better. Rarely do you have fillers. The inbetweeners for example, 3 seasons and only 6 episodes in each which are perfection start to finish. The same with Downton, Sherlock, Peep show. I could go on and on and on.

Did you see what we did to Skins? Shameless? The inbetweeners? British TV is so good we copy it and then destroy it. They are even talking about making an American version of Dr who!

Big Bang Theory is certainly enjoyable to watch, but it's not what I'd call funny. I think it's more because I can't really relate to them, the inbetweeners on the other hand... :rotfl::rotfl:
Have you saw The inbetweeners USA? I literally died in shock!

Here watch these, I laugh every time. You Brits can make everything funny. :rotfl:

Okay guys, so I'm going to take a break for a week to let everything calm down. I don't like being seen as the cause for arguing. My thread has been here a long time and I'm probably becoming annoying to some of you. I do enjoy coming here and conversing with you all. It's like visiting the UK. :D

I'll come back when everyone is refreshed with a progress report, so until then take care everyone.

    God bless you all. :)

Pyxis, how dare they!. Dr who is not to be remade by anyone, period!

Everything is good, and we have a soiree planned Saturday. The public forum isn't the place to say what I have planned in case it is seen as inappropriate, so I'll be lady like and not say. ;)

    See you soon Pyxis.

Oh please don't take a break! :( I can't wait a week to hear how you get on! We'll all be bursting!

I know there was an argument, but it wasn't your fault! And anyway, the people involved have been adult enough and wise enough to admit they were wrong to argue and to apologise, so that has to be good!

No please don't leave us in suspense! We do enjoy hearing from you!

Be nice, please! Pretty please? Pleasy-weasy?

Be an :A. Send us a post Sunday evening? Please do!

The american remake was widely viewed as a disaster here (lol Will!) - it doesn't bear much resemblance to the original. If you can find some clips online have a look, there's a best bits: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=pmQFzc_RU7w
