Heard back from them, he has changed his tune and said he could not inspect the loft as the floorboards were broken (a load of rubbish).
He has offered to come in again next week.0 -
According to them, as more than 50% of the property is DG, they have no facility in their software to reflect this and put in DG for all.
I pointed out that in effect the report has incorrect information and they mumbled and said they will come out and do it again.
My partner was there when they first came and they insisted i be there for his return.0 -

We had mislaid the key to the garden, but told him that he can access the garden from the service road about 4 houses along. He did say it wasn't a problem, but I for one do not understand how you can see the loft on a three storey house from the street when you could go upstairs and access it from the loft hatch.
They said they will get back to me.
I'll keep you posted.
The reason for this, is that it will cost them to relodge the report - but if they have made a mistake they should genuinely do this for you.
The issue is that the guys doing these surveys need only go on a 5 day course with no exam at the end - if in doubt about how qualified they are, see if they can explain the Feed-in tariff to you. A decent assessor should be able to explain the generation tariff, the export tariff etc etc, however most assessors out there won't have a clue!0 -
An update:
The company sent the assessor back to my house without telling me so got a call from him wondering where I was.
Had a te;lephone conversation wiht him where he was really opologetic and he said I should send him all the information and recommendations I was expecting to see in the report and he will endevour to add them. If there is an issue, he may request I add supporting pictures etc. Basically doing his job for him.
As long as I get what i need in the report, I will let it slide , but this is a joke......0 -
Hopefully that will get you what you need, but like you said it is a bit of a joke he should have just got it right in the first place!
I wouldn't recommend any one getting a green deal assessment or any work from National EPC Company Ltd t/a One Green Place, they subcontract their work to independent assessors and pay very little and get away with it for promises of lots of work.
A result of this is the assessor is rushed and makes mistakes.
My company subcontracts work out to independent assessors too, but the last I herd they were paying £60 to the assessor where most companies, mine included are paying close to £100 to the assessor and the result and the quality of the work is evident.
This is often the same individual assessors, just getting paid differently from different companies to do the same work they just cba with quality if there only getting paid £60."talk sense to a fool and he calls you foolish" - Euripides0 -
I send him a list of what I was expecting in the GDAR, namely:
solid wall insulation
gas condensing boiler
Loft Insulation
heating controls
floor insulation
energy efficient doors
Double glazing (replacing single glazing)
Secondary glazing
Floor insulation
Flat roof insulation
Room-in-roof insulation
He has agreed to coming on Saturday morning.0 -

based on what i've seen about your property you should have no problem in achieving these recommendations once he does it correctly."talk sense to a fool and he calls you foolish" - Euripides0 -

No, the scheme is designed to incentivse people to take up energy efficient improvements to their home a full list has been posted earlier of what is on offer through the scheme.
If you are interested in installing any of those measures it is worth taking advantage of the scheme, the first step would be to get an EPC or a Green Deal Assessment or talk to an installer you can find companies offering the scheme if you Google the green deal participants register and you can enter your postcode and it will show a list of companies who operate in your area."talk sense to a fool and he calls you foolish" - Euripides0 -
