Mmmm....I've just had fish n chips.....the white chocolate kind!
I saw them in newsagent and couldn't resist!
Haven't had them since I was a kid!
The pies sound delicious fire**flyWell done!
I'm sure your DD will be fine Sheils although as a parent, we never stop worrying! I'm at CAMHS tomorrow about DD so hopefully we might have some answers! I'm sick of school phoning all the time.
Has your DD gone with a group of friends?
No wins for me Sylvia either! I'm hoping a surprise win is just around the corner! Well done to Fred on his win from dailies :j I must remember to do them dailies!
Most of our school and two eldest ones school is on strike tomorrow so just got DD2 in school and I'm in for an hour.
If anyone has LO's who are into them loombands....there's some free in Fridays sun via smyths toy storeI'm sick of looking at them all over the house and when son finds them he flicks them at everyone!
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -
Enjoyed my steak pie - favourite of DH and DS3. DD not keen on beef but getting fed at her work anyway.
Will make do with an Auntie Bessie apple pie tomorrow FF. Have never made sweet pies although sometimes do jam turnovers if I have pastry left over.
DD is going with a big party of adults and teenagers wingo. One of her pals mums organised it. She does it every year and paid for DD's ticket as she did lots of dog sitting for them. One of their friends was supposed to be going too and her mum suddenly decided she couldn't go so I wouldn't like to be in their house. What a waste of a ticket.
Hope things start to get sorted tomorrow for your DD.
Sounds like you are keeping busy Sylvia. I have got all my washing done - shame about the ironing!Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Good Morning,
Beautiful morning here - wish I didn't have a stack of ironing to do.
Don't think I have ever seen those fish and chip sweets. Not really into sweets - prefer chocolate and cakes!
Like Auntie Bessie's Yorkies too FF but don't fancy them with jam.
Wishing everyone a lucky day.

Good morning all.
Nice and sunny here too Bella, enjoy your day.
Never seen those fish and chip sweets either Wingo but am sure I would like them
You just reminded we firefly, Mom always used to make large Yorkshire puddings and we had them cold the next day with jam on. Remember we used to have bread and lard with salt on as well if Mom didn't have much money, which they didn't then just after the war.
Good luck with the ironing Sheils, why is it always a lovely day when the ironing needs doing
Have a lovely day everyone and lots of wins.BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0 -
DH was telling me his mum used to make large ones as well
sylv, they always had them after with jam on,
says they also had bread & lard,
now got SIL & him reminiscing about 'proper'
mushy peas/corned beef hash/ etc & what they say is the
'proper' dinners what their mum used to do,
it's lovely watching & listening to them happily
chatting away
i'm enjoying some peanut butter on toast at the moplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -
Morning all
My mam always makes cornbeef hash too fire**fly but we call it panaculty (not sure on spelling!)I hated it! She would also do mince on Tuesday's with onion puddings which I also hated and used to throw on shed roof when she wasn't watching!
Love my mince and dumps now though!
The weather is very unpredictable lately Bella, but that's good ole British weather for ya!
Hope the storage planning is coming on ok SylviaMy aunt used to also do big puddings but tasted more savoury and delicious!
Are you all set for your trip Sheils and to pick DD up? I bet T in the park is good, would like to take kids to a concert sometime
Well CAMHS was a waste of time today as I expected! The school senco decided last minute they weren't turning up but didn't think to inform us! DH had trouble getting out of work too as they were short staffed on ward but we thought we would get some answers today!I said to DH I bet they don't turn up today before we went in because of strike...even though they've known about strike for weeks! Soooo annoying!
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -
