Thanks Piggers; tbh, I told him what you'd posted re your Stepdad, and said it sounds far and away better nowadays than when my KH had it done; that, in addition to what our favourite pharmacist said to him when he collected his prescription, has helped him come to a decision. But we're going to enjoy a week in Brugge first.;)

Well done on supporting DD2 in her decision. Posi-vibes for you both.

I'm away to the kitchen now - nut loaf with sweet'n'sour rice tonight, so I need to start mixing up the s'n's sauce.:o

Kudos to you for bringing her up to be able to make this decision and for supporting her so fully with it. And (hugs) for you.

Not much done. Am po-fagged, me.

^^^ wot Valli said - you will feel sad, as will DD2, bless her. Well done both of you for sticking together at such a tough time x

Glad you both feel more confident about the surgery, LW x

Both littlies brought a full bottle home today. Poor granny, DS gives her "thumbs down" at making drinks. He is supposed to take water but occasionally has a squirt of apple squash (to encourage him to drink more) and DD takes her medicine mixed in diluted juice. Both said the drinks today were horrible :o but never mind. They will have been given paper cups of water and school club has freely available drinks. But DD hasn't had her medicine today - she's ok though (we've had *cough* evidence of that this evening )

Also found out school won't apply sunscreen, but we do have lots of the once a day stuff. I wonder how many 3 and 5 yr olds can apply their own? Anyway I will zap them both on a morning - I think we've needed it these last few days!

WM loaded ready for morning, cleaned up after snack tea, bags sorted for morning, listened to DS reading (aww he was so tired) then packed them off to bed. The house is quiet...

I have 2 bags ready for CS collection tomorrow and the recycling by the door to remind me to put the green bin out when we leave.

    <yawn> is it bedtime yet?

Sounds like a tough day for both your and your DD, piggers, sending loves.

I have achieved nothing today :( Couldn't muster any GUAG after work and felt really faint when collecting DS2, thankfully made it home without meeting the pavement face first :o

Have cooked dinner for the boys and DH, still have to WUDUPA but will do that shortly while practising DS2's spellings with him. He has 20 to learn this week  DH has just left for band rehearsal.

Washing waiting to be strewn on the airers, I'm almost caught up. Until our bed needs stripping in the morning, natch.

Then it's a shower, jypamas and Saturday's Casualty with the boys. Joy! ;)

Evening all. Thought I would cross off what I've done from the list this week to make me feel as though I'm doing something:

    [STRIKE]Deal with any urgent phonecalls[/STRIKE]

    Extras
    [STRIKE]HHI[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]HH Paperwork[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Wipe and water plants[/STRIKE]

Not bad really. Just going to finish off on here then peruse recipe books for some new ideas. DH has fallen asleep on the sofa and the dogs are manic, so normal service here then.

LW - brilliant news about all the bookings. We have lost our dog sitter so OldDog and Littley dog are coming on holiday with us. We are currently in the process of getting LittleyDog used to longer car journeys.

I hope everyone is having a good evening. 'See' you tomorrow.

Hope your eye's soon better. Sooo annoying having a bad eye. Maybe try the pirate look with a patch if you can take the stupid comments everyone makes.

Thanks for your concern, I invigilate exams in the secondary where I'm a governor. It can be hard enough to keep a full hall in check and silent, an eye patch would send them over the edge :rotfl: It is still very swollen and puffy (upper eyelid is the problem) but not as sore.

Full on day and only just got to the computer so I'll catch up in a minute, hope you have all been good and flying to make up for me not doing any.

    List done for tomorrow

Bossy I don't think most schools apply sunscreen. They are not usually outside for that long during a school day (may be different at nursery) so I'm sure they will be fine unless they are very prone to burning. There are health reports coming out now showing kids are deficient in Vit D as we have been encouraged to cover them in suncream so much of the time now.

WM emptied and a child emptied the DW earlier. To tired to fly, I have now removed 2 of the jumpers I had on for cricket, it got mighty chilly towards the end. Just going to look at some photos from yesterday and then head up to bed.
