ETA thanks mrs mp they both have p20 on arms, necks, ears and faces today (then it started raining lol) I also have a little tube for each in their bags (labelled!!!) in case they need to top up with hand washing etc. I need to get spare hats as we use them at home and everything disappears at school... X
school workers love parents like you,the ones that label things make everyones lives so much easier and make end of play much smoother. (says the one who was wandering round for 10mins after my hometime yesterday trying to reunite various unlabelled coats cardis and jumpers with their owners)SPC~12 ot 124

Mine do have a supplement that includes vit d but I do let them play out at home without sunscreen. It's a fine balance and only requires 15 min a day but I won't risk them burning for the rest of the day. At least at home they can play out after brekkie then I can call them in for sunscreen before it gets too intense!
I'm pale and freckly and had sun damage as a child. I won't let my kids - we've had enough cancer in our family!Bossymoo

Morning all
Vibes to all, especially pigpen and LW
Been up since just before 6am again :j DD isn't liking it as she's used to being up on her own until 7am :rotfl: Any ways, wash load of cleaning cloths out on the washing line and I was sitting down to breakfast by 7amDecluttered 2 programmes from the DVR with DD while we ate, and since she left I've done an hour ironing!
I have the dentists at 10am which means I need to leave here 9.45 or there about. So I'm off to have a bath as I can still smell brasso on me from yesterday despite having had a good wash after using it yesterday  I'm scrapping running errands today, I can juggle money etc enough that I can leave it for another week. I'll probably go next Friday then I can take 2 lots of money to the bank
Well I best get moving. I'm planning on baking some more bread when I get back, and finishing the ironing. Then I'll clean the livingroom :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Question..
Moomin is moving up to high school in September and just moved to this primary in July last year. Since September she has had extra tuition 3 nights a week, extra help in class to boost her to a reasonable level as her last primary was just crappy.. anyway, her teacher has been fab, spending her own time helping my daughter.. she is going on maternity leave for the next academic year.. baby boy due Sept time.. would it be too butt kissy to knit her one of my very lovely leafy blankets as a thank you for investing time in my child??
I don't do 'gifts for teachers' ever but I feel she has gone beyond her remit to help Moomin and I would like to acknowledge that in a tangible way rather than a simple 'thank you'LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

that sounds a lovely idea, in all honesty i think she would appreciate the gesture behind it as well as the gift, she would know you had put time and effort into something for her child the way she has been doing with yours.
i set the kitchen timer for an hour and its just gone off, in that time ive taken the compost and the recycling out, swept all through downstairs, dusted all of the lounge and done some paperwork that needed doing
ill join mumto5 with her 20 mins and wash the pot mountain that has appeared overnight in the kitchen then do mils for an hour or so before work.SPC~12 ot 124

Pigpen, I agree with mrs-mp.
 to Mumto5.
I cut out curtains yesterday evening (pattern matching and all that  ) and am about to go and start machining.
Have decluttered 3 phonecalls and a vital email this morning.
The whole house is tidy but needs to be cleaned by this time tomorrow. I have seen green growth inside the shower tray in the door runner groove
Skinty, where are you?
(((Hugs))), spoons and sticks all round as needed x0 -
