That is what I was hoping to achieve.. so it wouldn't be weird?

What Mrs MP said and not weird at all, glad Moomin has been getting the help and support she needs. Sorry you have been having one of those times, hope you all get some peace and respite soon, Pigpen. Thinking of all other flyladies who are going through the wringer for whatever reason; Bossy, LW, Valli et al and hoping for sunnier days ahead.

I really must get my backside into gear and do some work, paid-work, house-work, anything...think I might need a push :o

Hey Pigpen - I agree with everyone else - it's a lovely idea. I think I know the leafy blanket pattern you mean - my Mum knitted one for DS and they are absolutely beautiful. Sure she will be absolutely thrilled.

    This morning
    WUDUPA DW on
    WM on and drying
45 minutes gardening done - found mare's tail - never had it in this garden before - weep weep.
    Then coffee
then 15 mins exercise to a prog I've had recorded - didn't make the full thing but will do - eventually - little by little.
Also finished ironing and put away.

About to do HHC at 11:45 - anyone joining me?

Hi all - I'm here; wrists pretty much banjaxed, but I've had the infra-sound machine on them for a while, so if I'm careful today they should be ok. *crosses fingers, realises that hurts and crosses toes instead*:D

"Day-off" vibes for Piggers, GWS wishes for Mum, and get-over-chickenpox-quickly vibes for Pixie.

LW - brilliant news about all the bookings. We have lost our dog sitter so OldDog and Littley dog are coming on holiday with us. We are currently in the process of getting LittleyDog used to longer car journeys.
It'll be lovely to have Jasper again (he's arriving Friday); but he's scared of the mobility buggy, so Mr LW will be pushing my wheelchair for Walkies; and Jasper can have a runaround in the garden in between times.:o
Good idea getting LittleyDog used to longer journeys; I'm sure you know, but when I took PennyDog on holiday, I made sure she had a comfort stop for a drink and a wee at least once an hour while travelling.:o

    Question..

Moomin is moving up to high school in September and just moved to this primary in July last year. Since September she has had extra tuition 3 nights a week, extra help in class to boost her to a reasonable level as her last primary was just crappy.. anyway, her teacher has been fab, spending her own time helping my daughter.. she is going on maternity leave for the next academic year.. baby boy due Sept time.. would it be too butt kissy to knit her one of my very lovely leafy blankets as a thank you for investing time in my child??

I don't do 'gifts for teachers' ever but I feel she has gone beyond her remit to help Moomin and I would like to acknowledge that in a tangible way rather than a simple 'thank you'
I'm the least qualified person here to comment, but I will anyway. I think it's a superb idea, and the fact that it will be imbued with your own magic makes it even more so.:o

I've been gradually washing all my velvety skirts over the last couple of weeks - they have to be done alone, as they all run better than Usain Bolt; I've been putting them on the very short wash in the machine, with a very gentle spin. I managed to get two done this morning, I just fetched them in off the line as they're nearly dry and it's starting to spot with rain. Just one more to go now, which hopefully I'll do tomorrow morning.:T They're all full-length (ie floor length) and have been sat on and had the hems trodden on by various shedding/damp dogs, so a good wash for each is deffo in order.:D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Pigpen - I agree with the others, its a lovely idea :)

Dentist done, and not needed for another 6 months thank goodness :) Picked up another customer this morning who is also a neighbour but from further down the road. DD is going to love me tonight when I pass on some info that neighbour has given me :D

I boo-booed before and in my rush to get out to the dentists I managed to slosh quite a bit of coffee I shouldn't have had upstairs on my bed again :o So thats the sheets & towels I used to mop up the mess in for washing. Typically its raining today, so I'll have to use the TD but the extra warmth will hopefully help the bread I want to make rise ;)

The ironing pile is really getting on my nerves, so I'm going to spend the afternoon clearing that, blitz the livingroom (which will be easier with the laundry gone) and then do paid stuff this evening when DD has gone to bed. She's going up early each evening so she can read so I'll have some extra time ;)

If its gone its done....and I'm going to get on with the bread making prep now!

Work decluttered, obnoxious daughter of customer was there today, she's put me in a bad mood!

WM almost finished, so the damp stuff on the airer will need shuffling to make space. I'm thinking about cleaning all the windows, the sun is (sorta) shining so they'll sparkle if I can find the energy. One more coffee first…?

ETA: pigpen, I think Mrs MP put it beautifully -- I'm sure Moomin's teacher will be delighted with the blanket. When DS2's teacher went off on mat leave, I knitted a pair of these, they're super cute, super quick, great for using up oddments of sock yarn and dead easy.

    Hello all

Last week disappeared before I'd known where it had gone.

Hope you all had a lovely bank holiday weekend. I apologise for not catching up with the whole of the fred.

Pigpen the knitted blanket is a lovely gesture and your knitting is beautiful so I'm sure it will be a much treasured gift
LW healing vibes to your wrists.
Mumto5 I love bully dogs, I'm so jealous of your new addition, she is gorgeous.

GWS vibes, hugs, spoons & sticks to all that need them.

Will be flying later after work, was in a rush at lunchtime after popping to Mr S so I have just left my lunch debris on the kitchen counter.

Also off to give blood at the hospital, fingers crossed I can find somewhere free to park!

    Take care all

Windows are all sparkly now :) It only took me twenty mins to do the whole lot, I love my window vac!

I'm getting the Hoover out now in a minute and contemplating pulling out the sideboard that the hamster cages are atop. Not sure I can face the horror of what lies behind though

Hope the vampires are gentle with you, deco, I'm back next Friday I think.

It's a wonderful idea pigpen and such good news that moomin has done so well!

Just finished work. Had a real frog today. Just couldn't think for all the croaking going on. But it seems to have shut up and let me get on now ;)

Also had a bit of chicken going in the pan, so the littlies can have wraps when they get home. Then a bath!

Why has it just started raining when I'm heading out???
