    Welcome newbies and returners

I worked in the garden from 6.30 am to 1 pm but *still* haven't finished planting everything out
Thought I would have to leave it half-done, with visitors due to arrive tomorrow, but when we came back from shopping this afternoon, there was a message from my friend saying that they will have to cancel as her DH is not well enough to travel :( - however, she would like to come and visit us for lunch on Thursday :)

Sad as we are not to see them both, this gives me time to rearrange my plan for the week, so I am going back out into the garden this evening - and this time I hope that I will get everything finished. There isn't a huge amount to do now, and I've even tidied the empty pots and swept up. DH :A took yet another load to the tip this morning (and yes, it was open :))

I realised yesterday that I needed some other summer trousers that fit apart from the pale blue size 14s that I bought a couple of weeks ago (down from size 22 last summer :j ). Went to S@in$bug$ this afternoon and got beige linen full-length and green polyester below-the-knee types for a total of just £30, using a brand match voucher to bring the cost down to £27.50. On the way out I spotted a notice about doubling up N€ct@r points, picked up a leaflet and read it in the car as we drove away - then asked DH to turn back immediately. The nice Customer Services lady happily gave me a full refund, doubled up my nectar points for a £30 voucher and then re-sold me the trousers, which I paid for with the double-up voucher and a double points coupon which DH had got from the petrol station, so I have done rather well out of the whole deal :money: and the DGC will be happy to have the school vouchers. The best thing, though, was that I now almost fit into size 12s :D

DR curtains will be made tomorrow; housework can wait until Wednesday. Today is now officially a Bank Holiday

Hoovering and mopping done, wm still going round. I thought it would be just bedding today but a mountain of washing appeared. Still a bit of gardening to do, but I'm having another cuppa first.

Evening all. Jobs in garden done. I now ache but I am in my dressing gown enjoying yet another cuppa. Pasty is in the oven. An evening of catching up reading the local paper beckons.

    'See' you all tomorrow.

    Evening all.

Had a very productive day today :D

Managed a number of wash loads, I have a light & a dark left, then the cleaning cloths so I'll do those tomorrow. ;) Later I'll have to tackle the ironing mountain though _pale_

    Cook bacon
    Bake[STRIKE] cakes /[/STRIKE] twinks

Had to change some plans around with the cooking as DD decided she wanted to bake the cake. So with one thing and another there wasn't time to cook a roast, so we're having waffles, tomato sausage & beans instead since I have the oven on :D I'll save the roast for another night, maybe next Sunday when DDs out with her dad next ;)

I have the snooker on, we're going to have tea, and after DD has gone to bed I'll get on with the ironing in stages. There is no way my back will take clearing the pile tonight after a day on my feet :(

See you all later when tomorrows list is added

    Evening flyladies :hello:

Had a lovely lunch out in Brum today, DH paid which made it all the tastier ;) Then spent many, many hours (slight exaggeration) trudging around all the gentleman's outfitters, looking for a tie for DSS to match his date's prom dress. We gave up in the end, I have suggested eBay, that way they can order a few cheapies without breaking the bank and hopefully, one will match.

We have had major dramaramas with DSD this weekend, I am at a loss to help and it's very hard to see DH hurting and not be able to assist beyond emotional support :(

The housework has taken a back seat today and as I left my boys unsupervised in the lounge, DS2 has taken great pleasure in scoffing a tonne of sherbet straws; unfortunately he missed his mouth more times than he'll ever admit to, so I have told him he's helping to vacuum the sofa tomorrow when he gets back from school.

We are cwtched up in bed watching the 'nooker (DD's moniker when she was about two :)) and will be asleep before 10. This weekend seems to have flown by; I hope you have all enjoyed yours xx
