I'm OUT this week. (insert big smilie) I'm on holiday!

However, I am cooking and clearing up after 6 hungry divers, so I'll be mini-flying between looking at the water they've disappeared under.

Had a lovely day in the garden yesterday for our BBQ. I pottered round yesterday evening and binned all the rubbish and put all the glasses in the DW. This morning DH has cleared the table off. It's now back to normal :). I think it helped massively having the recycling tub by the gate as people just put their dead cans straight in there. There was an awful lot of alcohol consumed but there is an awful lot left too! My utility room surface is still full up with stuff and the cupboard I emptied the other day is full of cartons of juice!
I'm back to work tonight and think I'm one on one off all week with doing some extras for extra pennies.
I would put the wm on but I don't think I have a full load of anything, even though the basket is full. I'd better just sit and relax instead eh? :o.

Sunshine and a bit of breeze here today. Perfect drying weather!

Been to the park, met dad, so kiddies have had a heap of fresh air again. They were starving so just had lunch, all is peaceful now thanks to peppa pig and chupa chups ;)

We tidied all upstairs this morning and downstairs isn't too bad either. We are fairly tidy but the floors are grim. Expect littlies will continue in and out so will leave that until later.

Really need to sort some shopping. I'll look if I can get a delivery tomorrow... Ooh I might try the new morrisons delivery!

Hope you're eye is ok dusty x

  • Hi!

Hope everyone is well - sorry, haven't been keeping up to date due to lack of internet connection at home, (having to rely on library). Pleased to report that the flat is looking fairly presentable. As well as dot-to-dotting, I've been trying to do a little bit in each room, each day and it seems to be working!

Home time beckons, so hope to post again soon.

DH is out for a full day of training on the local steam railway.
    :rotfl:

Three washloads on line. Mum and Dad have been with a 'new' chest of drawers (I already have some of this suite) so I am going to use it to store DD's linen for Uni, as I have already bought some bits and she has no space in her little room. I also have stuff my sister was flinging for her. So a bit of reorganising and emergency dusting in my BR.
Bookcase back reattached to book case, stairs vacuumed (look MUCH better) and much flinging of gibble into recycling bins.

Thanks to the thread runners for keeping us going, Dusty and Natty and thanks for the excellent catch job Bossy.

DD taken to work by Dad who was attempting to run his tank to empty to fill up with a Morrisons petrol MoC. He was gutted; he had two and she would only take one! This means I now have a Moc (and I need to get petrol later when I pick her up). He *almost* got to empty - was a under a mile here left in his tankl, apparently, and Morries is 1.6 miles away (according to google) but he made it:rotfl:

Kitchen got cleaned yesterday and some shuffling in there - old coffee machine now in a cupboard (filter thing and the coffee is never very hot) and cute little pod machine in place.

    Ironed this morning.

been trying to get on all day to post but hey...

Welcome newbies - and those of you with little ones -enjoy them while they are young. They grow up way too quickly*sigh*

If you'd rather enjoy the sunshine and have a day off then go for it (I will be )

Yay I can copy/paste on the kindle which I couldn't do on tablet

    List updated.
Been pottering about a bit today. Was sorting clothes in the bedroom and the clothes rail collapsed so trying to sort that when someone offered me a second hand pine cod for £30 so that will come in handy. DH just back from fetching it so will need to have a clean and fill.
Dd's bed stripped as I have no idea when she last did it, I think it had welded itself to the mattress (the mattress pattern was on the sheet ). She has just died her bf's hair brown and its come out almost black (permanent) so they are now frantically rewashing in w.up liquid to try and get it out.

Sounds like you had some success today Pigpen although would have been helpful if he could have gone all the way and dropped them off.

Right off to do a bit more
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

Afternoon all. Just enjoying yet another cuppa after walking my dogs again for two hours. They are now fast asleep, but I still need to hoover and mop through and do some bits in the garden.
Spend less now, work less later.
