One frog eaten - but it had already spawned!
Managed to contact the physio at last, and she will see me on MondayI need to get my shoulder sorted. Lack of sleep is making my life (and DH's) miserable.
Off to drink a cuppa (and probably catch up with zzz). We are going out this evening and I mustn't fall asleep in the concert0 -
downstairs and stairs swept or dysoned, our bedroom has been dusted and dewebbed. just going to start pushing the dyson round upstairs now
hope you enjoy the concert and manage to stay awake ionaSPC~12 ot 124

Only just catching up with the Fred, as I had to deal with the fallout from attending a social event last night.:(
So I've only just seen Piggers' post about Phil; pain-free vibes on their way.
And that shawl is really lovely; I was tempted to snag the pattern (I wear shawls in preference to cardigans as cardis use too many spoons to get on and off) but I think it'd take me 20 years to make it, as I can only knit for a few minutes at a time now.
Very pleased with Jasper (guest who arrived today) though; when he stayed last time, 2 years ago, he was terrified of the mobility buggy; we had to do walkies using the wheelchair, with Mr LW along to push it, and me holding Jasper's lead. I tried him again today, and though he was reluctant to start with, he's now realised the buggy isn't the Big Horrible Scary Thing he thought it was, and we managed to go round the field for a nice walk this afternoon.:T So well done Jasper.:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hi ladies,
Thanks for all the mentions. We are all home now. Feel a bit like I've been bashed but it was a lovely service. She had a pink coffin and had organised everything from the order of service booklets to her eulogy and photo montagehow brave of her. It was very emotional but also a bit cathartic. Inlaws have done OK too and I gave them both an extra hug when I left.
We joined the family afterward for an hour then left as I had to collect the littlies. I've just made some snack tea - seems DD has been eating all day and DS has eaten at school club. Might delay baths till morning and just all get into bed with a DVD.
Just glad to be home, door locked and with my babies :A
Hope things are improved for your mums friend pigpen and glad your little pal is settling in ok lamewolfBossymoo

Lamewolf well done on coping last night and on helping Jasper to conquer a fear
JTTOU has there been any progress in Dustyland?
All of upstairs clean and tidy, looks lovely. Trouble is I now want all of downstairs done too but I've run out of puff. I will do the cloakroom after dinner as I have the stuff out and some ironing this evening but the rest will have to wait until tomorrow.
Three loads of washing dried despite the weather forecast being for lots of rain (which didn't come). Hope they are equally as wrong for the weekend so that the boys cricket matches can go ahead.
Need to check that DS3 has eaten his dinner and started revising and then cook DS2's dinner, he doesn't need prompting too much to do his revision. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
I've spent the afternoon in the kitchen cleaning
I cleared out the shelving unit, sorted all the contents and put it back neatly, cleaned the oven, and even cleaned on top of the cupboards
All the washing up is done except our tea dishes which I'll do later after we've had ice-cream
DD has cleaned the bedrooms when she got in from school so we're doing really well here even if it looks like not much has been done off the actual lists

How's your DD1, piggers? Posi-Phil-vibes while I'm at it.
She is fine thank you.. It looks like I may be getting a grandprincess in November if nub theory is right.. I did tell her several weeks ago we are getting a pink one. If it is a girl it is the first girl in SIL's family in 52 years!!!!!!So I've only just seen Piggers' post about Phil; pain-free vibes on their way.
And that shawl is really lovely; I was tempted to snag the pattern (I wear shawls in preference to cardigans as cardis use too many spoons to get on and off) but I think it'd take me 20 years to make it, as I can only knit for a few minutes at a time now.
If I can manage it.. after I have knitted one for my sister I shall knit you one!
My kitchen is looking sooooooooo much better.. I have swept and loaded DW and WM and TD. The table has been scrubbed and the worksurfaces swept. Recycling out and bins out and toys put away... It took 1.5 hours and it is still a bit grotty but rather more presentable!
I am now going to book some loony to come clean my oven.. it is foul and I have no time or patience.
Baby girl is calling so the rest of the kitchen will have to wait! .. I am hoping to get the hallway sorted tomorrow.. I need a swift kick though otherwise I shall sit and procrastinate aaaaallllll day!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
hello all
Been thinking of you Bossy and having seen Pigger's news sending Phil GWS vibes
DD is out, at the cinema and she hasn't eaten so I have had a snack to put me on and I rather suspect oriental food will be on the menu.
Done some serious flinging, emptied shredder as (a) it was full and (b) they collect next Thursday and I will no doubt be too busy Wedneday night to even bother. I have also pegged out the washing in the hope that it will 'lighten' - it's dry and blowy so I might get away with it!
Have made my bean 'wigwam' with bamboos and planted the beans. They are well rooted and have been hardening off outside so should be fine. Prodded dandelions through Benny Bunny's cage.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
Valli planting beans out is one of my jo bs for the weekend, need to get some compost out the bins too, DS1 can help me.
Didn't do anymore this evening, watched BBCQT on catchup with DS2 instead. Off to bed now, kitchen can be tidied in the morning. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
