Been thinking of you Bossy. Maybe try sugar snap peas for lunchbox X

Get well, pain free vibes to Phil

2 full bags re homed to the community centre's brickabrac table

Airing cupboard sorted and stuff put away

Big ugly frog eaten. It was beckoning a black dog. Stupid how easy it was.

Ds1 has booked his university open days. I would appreciate any advice for these. DH is taking him to one and I'm doing the rest. We will be waving to lots of flyladies from our trains. :)

I'll be sure to wave to all passing trains too, just in case ;)

Glad all is well with your DD1 and her potentially pink bump, piggers.

Have been to cricket with DH today, they fielded first but the match was called off due to rain before his team could bat -- stroke of luck as there's no way they'd've beaten 222 in 38 overs, so a draw is a good result :)

Back home, washing shuffled AGAIN and kit in a hot wash, have given up trying to get the grass stains out the knees but hoping to keep the whiff at bay!

Lazy night ahead, DH is watching Battle of Britain and I'm bored already, it wasn't my cuppa first time around, let alone fifth! Think I'll read my book instead.

    Hope all are well xx

    Evening

    Finally found you all.

Half the guests have gone to the airport, I 'nearly' have my house back!

Hugs all round, I am sure I have missed loads.

Wrk is busy, done 2 car boots, cadbury world, wild life park, lego land, MK shopping, more lego work shops, loads of driving etc. father ill is hospital, I really thought I was gonig to get the 'you have 2 hours to get here' type phone call, but I spoke to him earlier tonight and he seems better from what I have been told.

My house is a total mess, dusty, and feels messy, all rubbish bins are full, and have been for ages, how do 4 extra adults and 2 kids make so much mess.

Kids have been wonderful, had some great games and fun.

Going to start next week upstairs, and do each room fully, inc all the washing etc, but I need some of the bins to be empited first........

Wind to day has broken 2 panes of glass grrrrrr

Question: ideas for fruit / veg type snack that will survive in a lunchbox? DD usually has carrot and cucumber sticks with her lunch but hasn't been eating them. Sometimes she has baby corn. Is there anything similar you can think of? She doesn't do tomatoes and peppers. I thought of trying her with mange-tout. Can't think of anything else that won't go grotty if its pre-cut (usually make pack-up the night before).

Celery, sugar snap peas, broccoli, grapes, blueberries, raspberries, pineapple chunks, mango chunks, strawberries ...........

Trying to think of all the different things that appear in lunch boxes in my class of fussy eaters!!

The Skint Pitz has been somewhat neglected inside this week, as I have been attempting to get the outside sorted while EX has had annual leave with two youngest Skints.

EX and I have had to have some frank discussions this week as his hospital visit to see the surgeon to operate on his hernia did not go well. Surgeon has refused to operate as he doesn't believe the previous diagnosis of a hernia is correct and is not willing to open him up not knowing what he will find. The EX is having a CAT scan and has to be starved before going, but has to take most of his diabetic medication as normal except his mealtime insulin, so he cannot drive himself. So the Big C is back on the table once again. So next week I am going to make a concerted effort to get the whole house ship shape by Thursday morning, so I can get everything ready for my long road trip Friday after the hospital.

time for some R&R now, and think about what I can get done tomorrow.....nighty night

The cold never bothered me anyway

My mother is an @r$e.. DD1 put a post on fb yesterday.. a pic of Spam holding the scan pic and tagged family and close friends and my mother has had a public rant because she wasn't rang and told personally.. neither were any of the other great grandparents!! only her partners mum and I knew! And DS1 and DS3 because they guessed when she had her head rammed down the loo. Really, if you have nothing nice to say !!!!!!!! she said before fb people would speak.. no they didn't, they text, or used MSN messenger.. and shes a fine one, she just texts! and she fb messaged me about her friend being ill the other day.. she needs a slap!! She never has a nice word to say about anyone!! I might retaliate with one saying how I'm so glad my family have been 'there for me' the last 5 years since kicking KH out and how they involve me in everything and come visit.. Squeak didn't even know she was her grandma a couple of weeks ago and she is nearly 4!!!!

Anyway.. the rain has stopped, the sun is shining and I will play a part in my grandbeastlings lives as long as I am allowed and able..

Pixies pox look a lot better this morning :) many of the smaller ones on her face have gone and she has been much more settled. She's not old enough for piriton and paracetamol makes her violently sick.. I tried different brands it made no difference.

The new nail lady is lovely.. she was not even phased by the girls looking in her bags and standing on her elbows and was lovely and she made their nails pink.. it was an attempt to get rid of them which failed but they were so pleased.

Cuppa made so I shall knit another scallop and drink that then crack on.. todays list..

Demand DD2 does her own washing.. she filled 3 baskets and expects me to do it all.. no chance!
Get OH to move the stuff from the bit under the stairs so I can get in the cupboard and sort the fabric stash!!!
