Sugar snap peas were a hit at dinner, although they did end up sliced open and the innards eaten first... (Not me) feel pleasantly pogged now...

So I'm having a HH me time (if I'm not interrupted...) and I'm going to browse Pinterest for a while to get ideas for my new home office area (once the trampoline exits the building!)

    Afternoon!

Cant remember what day it was when I last popped in but feel as if I havent stopped.
Have managed to declutter our French student back home, done the paid stuff Including several hours on the lappy at home. Have managed to do a huge amount of decluttering from the spare room/office more commonly known as the bin. Should have been carbooting it today for the air cadets but cancelled as when its wet the cars churn up the sportsfield. Managed to declutter it to the lady I was going to be helping as she will try and FB sell it before the reschedule. 2 Loads taken to the tip and another bag of clothes sorted to send to my cousin for her daughter who is a few years younger than my DD. Can actually get in the massive storage cupboard in said room, well I got 3 doors open, havent managed to get in the last one yet as more stuff needs moving, wonder what I will find. Also had a catch up of fred so even tho its late responses ...
Piggers - I think its a lovely idea to knit a blanket, your knitting is beautiful and it would be a lovely gift rather than the Teacher tatt that some of the card shops sell.
Lamewolf - Love the idea of a your dirty weekend! and sad for your neighbours :(
Mumto5 - thats a real shame about DS and Coco, I bet he is gutted. Saw the pic on FB of DS and wondered which was yours, so now I know I can say he is a handsome young man.
Vanilla - tonsillitis is a drag. Its easy to call a bad sore that tonsillitis but when youve had it for real you really know it, I was in bed for over a week when I had it. Hope all ok now and that DD hasnt got it.
charlies-aunt - Welcome to the thread and glad its helping you cope
ionafan - Hope DH found his ring. My DH found his got too big so he switched it to his right hand which is slightly larger and it fits fine now. I think some of the Europeans wear it on the right so not so out of place.
bossymoo - hope the sad time passed without too much pain, I think the wearing something pink was a lovely idea.
Piggers - hope Phil is much improved and on the mend.
    ecoelle - welcome back

Just a quick message to say I haven't dropped off the face of the Earth. Had a very busy work week last week but just amount managed the dailies.

Today I've done the washing and just about to finish hoovering throughout, trying to set me up ready for next week. Work should be quieter for the rest of the year so I'm hoping to be able to keep up with the lists from tomorrow, fingers crossed.

    Hope you are all ok

    I have found my chequebook

(It was in a safe place:o)

DS has texted me and asked me to renew his passport. Well it can't be done; he needs to apply, what with being an adult.:D:rotfl:

I have sent him detailed links to the official site.;)

We've had lunch - boiled gammon (two for £6.50 at morries and they keep;)), new pots, veggies, yorkshires followed by baked nectarines with ammaretti biscuit crumble, because nectarines were yellow-stickered. While oven was on I flung a banana cake in.

OMG DS's GF has posted that they have BOOKED a holiday...

Lodger decluttered, kitchen tidied, yoghurt strained (I forgot it this morning), breadmaker tried with mix (epic fail), dog walked, three year old frog which turned out to be a tadpole munched, dishwasher emptied, and attic raided for lost jeans (found) and jars brought down for OH to make marmalade tonight while he cooks supper.
    Better is good enough.

Hmm. After three and half pints, I don't think OH is safe to be boiling up marmalade but is, obviously, safe to cook the supper.

I've spent an hour or so munch another tadpole that is turning out to be slightly more complicated than I thought. What's the stage when tadpoles grow legs? It's that stage of development. Thinking cap time.
    Better is good enough.

Well I have spent the day in the kitchen baking or sat on the sofa doing sewing repairs. Still got the ironing to do, but I have made 12 sub rolls, 2 cheesecakes and I now have a roast dinner in the oven since it was already hot :D I've also washed up as I went along so there will only be the tea dishes for DD to deal with :D I think I may have to leave the ironing until tomorrow after spending 90 minutes kneading bread by hand my shoulders aren't up to it :o

Off to put the veg for tea on, and I'm hoping the meat is looking a lot more cooked than it did 15 minutes ago

I appear to have "stuff" everywhere again. Downstairs, anyway. Littlies tidied their rooms before bed - with *cough* guidance from moi ;)

I've done the ironing but it all needs putting away (when they are asleep). DD is still wriggling, I can hear her. Goodness knows how, she almost fell asleep in her supper!

I need to pop out and lock the playhouse, then tidy all the shoes away, then I will start on the kitchen, I'm hoping it doesn't take as long as it looks...

Need to get in touch with the woman who wanted the trampoline... Hope she still wants it (tomorrow) I have plans!

Right, I'm going upstairs to bash my toddler and put her back to bed ;)

Evening all, no flying done here today. DH and I went into York for lunch and a bit of shopping and then spent the afternoon watching the Hobbit. A rare event for us to sit down and watch a film together, so it was really nice.

See you all on next week's thread.

    Evening

Well cricket was on so I had to do the teas and have only just got back. DS3 is dead on his feet, not sure how he is going to cope this week so much on and exams at school for 4 full days.

I still need to wash his PE kit for tomorrow, that will dry ok so that is the first thing, see if he needs anything else to eat and get him in bed. DS1 still clearing up at the club. I want to do an online food order too to use some vouchers up but my mind is dead.
