Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week or getting motivated when it comes to housework then come and join us.
Many thanks to Natty for last weeks thread (no link due to the gremlins of last week)
There are 3 levels per day with level 1 being very basic, level 2 in the middle, up to 3 which is more advanced and time consuming. Feel free to mix and match to suit your own personal circumstances.
Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up
These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.
Also adding a declutter mission each day will help to gradually clear the clutter and make flying easier.
A few of the basics before we start the week
Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!
Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.
Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.
Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.
Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis
HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!

Thanks Dusty for the new thread and Natty (and Bossy!) for last week's.
This morning I sorted all the cupboards in the utility, and DH found half a door that needed glossing! The paint pots are still out for me to do some touching up around the house, but that will be next weekend or the one after, when DH is out for a full day of training on the local steam railway.
The rest of the house is reasonably tidy but needs to be cleaned all through tomorrow. We are hoping to have visitors from Tuesday or Wednesday to Friday. I have nearly finished planting up the garden (still about 4 trugs full of bits to plant out) and I'd like to get the dining room curtains made before they arrive, but don't know if I shall manage all of that tomorrow. Hopefully...

Thanks for new thread Dusty and Thanks Natty/Bossy for last week
I'm in for this week and hoping for a flying start tomorrow as DH has a day's work and as I won't start until 15.45 will try to get all the floors done through the apartment whilst he's out of the way busy working

Morning all - pleased to report the sun is up!! and so am I:rotfl:
Will be able to get into the garden today for longer than I have over the weekend as it was cool to say the least!!
At least yesterday we bought some mulch - as it all needs topping up - weeding and digging over first though. Have bought some bagged manure to enrich the soil too - will be a smelly day putting that on/in but might not do it until tomorrow!!
Plan for today - wait until DH surfaces then blitz bathroom.
Go to vol job to discuss possible other options
Apply for other vol job
Lunch
Garden
Will try and do some bits off the list but did more cupboard organising yesterday - it is much better now and ready for me to bite the bullet and go through some difficult stuff - but not just yet:o
Thank you Natty and Bossy and Dusty for the threads - have a good day everyone. xxJuly 16 £95/£200

We're in thanks very much ladies.
I'll be in the office tomorrow, and away Friday (funeral) but other than that, the house needs the fly lady treatment!
Don't even know where to start! Cup of tea, then...

Hello, I'd like to join if that's ok. I'm a mum to one 15 month old with another on the way, we're farmers so heading into our busy time and we're hoping to move house in a few months (yup, that'll be august when I'm 7 months pg and it's the middle of harvest!) new house needs loads of work too.
Hoping to declutter loads before we move and if I'm on top of cleaning that last clean will be much easier.
It's such a beautiful day here - off to work this morning but will get stuck in this afternoon!0 -
Hi everyone! Please can I join u? I have a 2 year old and 24wks pregnant with our second. House is not looking too great lately!! Need to try and sort out some bits for the charity shop today! Too much clutter.0
