    PC is dying to and I don't know if I have everything backed up:o

    Oh and new dog can jump, so can older dog but he only manages straight up and down. She can do up across and down the other side:eek:

    Good to have you back PWD, my iron is useless and could really do with a decent one! Apparently JL have reasonable ones though.

  • Hi pwd, I don't know if anyone has suggested this (still reading previous pages), but two areas you could look at reducing are;

    Professional subscriptions - if you are employed by a company (as opposed to SE) it is worth checking whether your employer supports the cost of the subscriptions you may need to do your job (my company does, so it's worth asking).

    Also, ask your employer about their eye test policy. Employers are meant to support the cost of eye tests for employees who use display screen equipment, they may well cover some of the cost of your glasses (if required).

    The answer to both may well be a no, but it's worth asking.
    2022 Target - Reduce new mortgage balance after house move - Part 1 (Ported) Starting balance £39,982.12 currently £37,242.19 Part 2 Starting Balance £101,997.88 currently £96,197.38 (as at 19/04/2022)
  • Thanks for those ideas NHS. I'm actually toying with not paying my prof subs for 2015, a) nobody has ever asked for proof of continued membership, just the original membership cert and b) there are others on my grade at work who aren't qualified, so why am I bothering??
    I'm also thinking about leaving my job and doing something else and again this would not require prof membership.:j
