Sorry to hear you are feeling stressed. Sometimes all the little things snowball into something big, and it all seems overwhelming.
Hope you have a relaxing weekend, and enjoy time with your familyEarly retired - 18th December 2014

Thanks ladies for the support, I do now feel better for the cry actually:eek:
Today's rejection was from Santander, so even for a basic a/c they still had to credit score the application which equalled a no. Pity they hadn't suggested this would be the result when we asked about it two weeks ago:mad:
They did offer a mini 123 a/c for dd but she's only 11 and I really want to walk her through money management with an in trust a/c:rotfl:
HSBC would open a basic a/c but no other a/cs can be held at the same time, so no use then!
Just listening to Moneybox on the radio and it's talking about Tesco offering a current a/c, may be about to google!
Have moved £20 to BoS so we'll see if that disappears into their recovery section or not:DWeight: need to lose 71lbs - lost to date 0lbs

RBS have now answered the complaint they made about themselves saying they cannot open the basic a/c they opened for me???
The good news is they have sent a cheque for the £212 deposited and another one for £100 as compensation for closing the a/c:j.
Still leaves the problem of where to turn for a high street bank.
Didn't bother applying for Tesco, just know as it's an online application it will be credit scored.
Think i may have to revisit the HSBC option or Barclays but neither are local:mad:.
Listed two things on ebay:j finally! And will try and do some surveys today.Weight: need to lose 71lbs - lost to date 0lbs

Been moving money around today, extra earnings last month and a couple of small windfalls have meant I've sent £350 to the secured loan, £350 to the mortgage and £50 to a new savings a/c to start a car fund. This will get an additional £300 once i see the £50 has gone to the right place.
Not sure I will send much more to the mortgage, but will cross that bridge when we come to it, just want to see the balance drop:rotfl:.
The next thing is to revisit the children's trust fund accounts and see if I should start adding to them again.:eek:Weight: need to lose 71lbs - lost to date 0lbs

£50 landed in the right place, so the £300 has now been sent:j.

Now Polly, if you've kept up with my diary you'll know I'm not menu planning for July
HFW would be concocting a recipe straightaway:):)

Cheap supermarket clothes came in at £130, so i was grumpy for the rest of the day:eek:. Hate buying things that are not well made but again that's what got me into a mess before:(
However it's meant i've done some more juggling, so another £500 to the secured loan, can you tell i'd rather starve than let this go on much longer!!Weight: need to lose 71lbs - lost to date 0lbs

Still a capital reduction of £359.37:j
And it tells me if i keep paying at this rate there will ONLY be £130,137.47 outstanding at the end of the term:eek::eek::eek:Weight: need to lose 71lbs - lost to date 0lbs

Morning, took the children to How to Train Your Dragon 2 yesterday, it was quite good but nothing like the books. So the best part of £50 incl fruit and choc from Asda on the way in! They are such a rip off, the vending machine in the outside part of the mall had coke etc for £1, in the Vue bit it was £2.20 for the same thing:eek:.
Anyway at least they got a treat!
Money is all over the place, just when you think you've seen the back of something then something else springs up, so EDF want to go from £76 per month to £190 pm:mad:. So have gone through £co and changed suppliers, they still want £140pm but we'll see. So need to be far more frugal but with a house of 5 and it's an old house i don't know...
House and mess and clutter getting totally on top of me, so need to do a flylady 15 mins a day of decluttering. Going to get a kindle book on the subject, The toothbrush principle! Something to do with having things where you need them!Weight: need to lose 71lbs - lost to date 0lbs
