    Morning Polly!

Well done on the payouts! :)

Here's to another good week of budgeting and saving! :j

    You too Nelly!
Have you got those ribbons on ebay yet??

I've had my fill of surveys for the moment so I'm going to list a couple more things on ebay now.
Then I'll scare myself by adding up what I've already paid to the secured loan - fire up the spreadsheets!

Funnily enough I have just reset my paypal account, so in theory I have no excuse! I need do to some fact finding on ebay in regards to costs etc and how people are selling them, but I might just put some on as a job lot and see what happens!

Dh did well at Sainsburys, with voucher he was £13.79 under budget:j
Crowdology said i had a balance of £11.20 but it keeps saying error when i try to move it to paypal??
And moved £45 from pp to current a/c with a view to spliting it between secured loan / car fund / general need.

Have to go shopping with DD today as she has parties coming up, so cards, wrapping paper and pressies required:mad:

Joint AA (the car kind:p) membership about to come out of the a/c so another £172 bites the dust.
Feels a long way till payday:rotfl:

I joined AA last year when my battery died and paid about £250 for the pleasure! When it came to renewal this year, I negotiated with them to have it reset to a basic towing away from home type account. Which I actually needed last month! So I think I am back down to the standard £39 or such a year and don't plan to go higher.

  • That's a perfect price Nelly:money:

Been a busy week, so very glad it's Friday, but got school things on tomorrow, boo, but then Monday off as the other school is closed:D

Finally managed to move £7 from cint to PayPal and the two shirts have sold, so off to wrap them and get them sent off today.
Somewhere I have a spreadsheet that calculates the profit for ebay, so I'll track that down and update the totals later.

  • Morning, profit from the two shirts was £14.10, so off to op that to the mortgage to make sure it works!

Have an appt with RBS on Friday, now they were one of our creditors when we went br but they assured me that that isn't a problem, so we'll see what they say. May pop into Bank of Scotland too and see if they'd offer a basic a/c.
Theory is it takes 6 years before you can get a regular current a/c, but the sooner I'm with them the longer they have to see how much of a reformed character I am:A

DD broke her arm yesterday:eek: and DH's birthday tomorrow, so after Homes Under the Hammer I'll need to get out and get things done. One more parcel to get to the Post Office to, if they are open.

Poor DD! I hope she is OK.
    Happy Birthday to DH tomorrow!
    Good Luck with the Bank!

  • Thanks Nelly, popped into the bank and an appt made for a week on Friday, they are offering 3% on children's accounts, so that is the best I've seen for no notice / instant access, that i can control:rotfl:

Bought DH Jamie Oliver's save with ... Cook book and A Girl Called Jack's cook book. Didn't buy him any chocolate:eek:, we both need to get our weight down, hopefully he won't be offended ( he loves cooking):D and there is a bottle of champagne in the fridge:beer:

DD fine, actually quite proud of her injury and cast I think:rotfl:

Oh and ebay parcel away, so a grand profit of £1.40 which I've just sent to the secured loan:money:

  • Another week flies by:eek:
Sold another couple of things on ebay with a profit of £10.67 and redeemed some survey money which has come into PayPal as two lots of £7.84. So a grand total of £26.35, which I'll move in a second and pay off the secured loan.
Made just over £200 working for the European election, not sure where to put that but all children are moaning about their shoes and wellies being tight::eek:

Basic a/c opened with RBS, what a lovely girl c.f. opening children's a/cs with Bank of Scotland, really scruffy bloke who didn't know his stuff (and it was a two week wait to get the appt with him:rotfl:) still it's 3% but he was so useless he didn't even ask for an opening deposit and it took so long i forgot to ask about the R85 forms, so will pop in today and get that sorted. Would have opened their accounts with RBS too but their children's rate is pants.
Opened a savings a/c with BoS for myself thinking i could link it with the children's ones to see balances etc online but no they can't do that! Seem to remember i could do that when they were Halifax but now they have disagregated that's no longer the case:mad:
