Yep, hope the appointments went well. A visit to the chippy only sounds fair to prepare for a day like that
Fascinated to hear of the slots offer - when I'm up and running, I'll be having a go at that too
Sleep well after a trying day ...2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Evening Mr E, trFfic sounds horrendous.
I have visions of you becoming so frustrated that you park up and run home :rotfl:

Thanks guys, feeling much brighter this morning, although the weather isn't following my lead
Today is payday the second, no money shuffles to do as our shuffle now features a discreet 4 current accounts (GG will disown me!) I am treating myself to a new set of plastic wheel trims for £14 because I am, quite frankly, living the dream
Keeping back some money for putting laminate down in our sitting room, think the cost is going to be roughly double what my enthusiastic estimate was, but can spare £135 for the S&S ISA. This will go into our main fund, Vanguard LifeStrategy 80%.0 -
I love that living the dream is now "plastic wheel trims"
Hope traffic is better behaved today - although - dare I mention running to work and running home might be a plan???Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -

Sorry Watty, but that sounds like hell, I would need to keep so many clothes at work and have a tiny shoebox locker that just about takes my laptop
Not much to report today, was feeling blue, but got an unexpected work pep talk which was much appreciated.

Yup, that's what only having 4 current accounts will do to you
Hope the pep talk......well, pepped you up :TA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

It did and it didn't
Talk is starting of new job opportunities, positive, but I really don't want to get my hopes up. Also, I don't really feel I've been so !!!! hot of late, why are things suddenly looking like they might change/improve?0 -
Maybe there's a lag time between them realising they need to extend themselves a bit to keep you, and actually *doing* it.
Consider yourself pepped here too2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Very up and down with work. Busy, then not busy, sure of myself, then sure I'm wasting my time
Entered the slough of despond this afternoon, need to be careful not to make it an overnight stay
Also, when did Halloween become an excuse for adults to act like children and for normally sensible women to [STRIKE]act like they are in Mean Girls and dress like slappers[/STRIKE] wear creative costumes?
Not much money news, over 400 euros of my experimental P2P money has now been lent out, ISA + pension doing well with the current rally and managed to make over £30 profit with an arb for Mrs E and I.
This weekend I am cooking, researching flooring and going for rescheduled family dinner.
Mrs E's dad gave a cooking demonstration on TV, we were all very proud of him :T0 -
Well done Mrs E's dad :T
Sorry you're feeling grot, but it does sound like there's a lot of good going on this weekend2023: the year I get to buy a car0
